View Full Version : T shirts rob 01-31-2005, 06:49 PM lets get this site out there... lets make t shirts we need a marquee tho... can anyone come up with a good one?? CoolCobalt_NY 01-31-2005, 09:57 PM Maybe something like I have in my avatar.. """"CobaltSS.net The Official Resource Dedicated To The Chevy Cobalt""""" Or something like that.... If I think of anything else.. I'll post it! JonyyB 01-31-2005, 11:23 PM We already had a contest going for the designs. We just have to pick the winners and get things going. Anyone know good places to make shits? We will not sell these shirts for profit. Just for our members to help get the word out. Also, I don’t think we can be “official”. GM is “official” and I can see some legal issues there. Keep the ideas going. CoolCobalt_NY 02-01-2005, 01:18 AM I do have a printer in town that I am friends with.. I think I may have told you JonelZ. But it's going to cost us to get them done... I dont know how much.. If I know my printer he is going to ask for details, like what kind of shirt, how do we want it printed on.. Stuff like that.... Give me a call, or E-mail me JonelZ... I think this is something we should talk over the phone on!.... Toooo many details..... So, basicaly.. I might be able to help out here!!!!! :cssNET: CoolCobalt_NY 02-01-2005, 04:15 AM What about something like I have in my signature.... I mean the car is sleek, and stylish... and it does somewhat have that sexy/mystirous look to it...!!! ??? I'm still thinking of more rob 02-01-2005, 09:00 AM how hard would it be for GM to back us up?? not financial or anything just the ok to be able to say "official" Archplsm 02-01-2005, 09:46 AM Gm could be a supporter of the site but we would have to approach them. It is not unusual for someone to do this. BUT by doing this we may open the site up to censorship by GM coxne 02-01-2005, 12:14 PM How about, "Chevy Cobalt. It's about damn time." EvenStar 02-01-2005, 12:19 PM Gm could be a supporter of the site but we would have to approach them. It is not unusual for someone to do this. BUT by doing this we may open the site up to censorship by GM I think if we went with this approach, we wait till GM puts out its performance parts division (like that of Mopar for the SRT's) that way we could get "semi-sponsorship" from GM by advertising their parts, heck we could get a parts store going if theyd allow the site to be a reseller. This way they couldn't regulate what's said, just help out with either sales, site development who knows. I have a feeling this place could be much better than SRT-forums in time :cssNET: rob 02-01-2005, 01:31 PM well said ... lets get this site out there.. even tho the car isn't zinner 02-01-2005, 04:47 PM I think if we went with this approach, we wait till GM puts out its performance parts division (like that of Mopar for the SRT's) that way we could get "semi-sponsorship" from GM by advertising their parts, heck we could get a parts store going if theyd allow the site to be a reseller. I have a feeling this place could be much better than SRT-forums in time :cssNET: Having the site sell parts would be conflict of interest. The site is already supported by outside vendors who sell parts. If they site were to open it's own store them it would conflict with the already exsistant supporters. Plus it would be lame like the other cobalt site that I wont speak off . :cssNET::cssNET::cssNET: Archplsm 02-01-2005, 04:54 PM Having the site sell parts would be conflict of interest. This will help GM as well, since it is free ad for the car, and its the best type of ad WORD OF MOUTH ! Dman 02-01-2005, 06:32 PM word, who even won the contest...been a while since weve heard anything about that since voting was done... Street Graffiti 02-01-2005, 09:04 PM Our shop does art work for a t-shirt printer and can maybe get a better price on shirts but I will need info about what is wanted to get a price. We can do the artwork he needs so thats not a prob. We do need to have a design. Just let me know. Jase 02-02-2005, 01:27 AM shirts, hoodies, toques etc are a great idea however, silkscreening would wear out in time, would it not be better if we embroidered logos? DEI99662 02-02-2005, 09:17 AM Like the others, there is a T-Shirt printer I know the owner of. Let me know if you would like me to get some details for you. Why not give the Premium Members a discount rate on the T-Shirt when they sign up? This way you can use discounted prices of Cobaltss.net merchandise as another way of enticing them to sign up. Other ideas for merchandise could be koozies, mouse pads, hoodies, camisoles, hats, etc. DEI99662 02-02-2005, 09:18 AM silkscreening would wear out in time, would it not be better if we embroidered logos? Its a good idea, but it will get expensive. Why not start with silkscreening until this site really "takes off." JonyyB 02-04-2005, 09:36 PM word, who even won the contest...been a while since weve heard anything about that since voting was done... We have yet to decide. Sorry it’s taking us so long. We’ll don soon. I want a t-shirt for myself :D Fatal Fax 02-05-2005, 01:49 AM If the shirt is black and a medium I'll buy it. Even a long sleve wouldnt be bad. co-yellow-balt 03-16-2005, 11:44 AM GM wouldnt prolly mind to support us in t-shirt making or perhaps Rk sport might. just ask around...dont hurt to ask :cssNET: DKGW 04-18-2005, 08:55 PM Cafepress.com (http://www.cafepress.com) Der ya go. They take care of everything :) c0baltss2005sunburst 04-19-2005, 01:27 PM I think having "club" t-shirts or site t-shirts would be an awesome idea!! My friend has a 240sx and I know he's got something like that for a site he's registered with... keep me updated on what's going on with that, I'm definately in! Chevy4Life85 04-19-2005, 01:40 PM From what i've seen most places like this claim a sloggan like "your un-official source for the chevy cobalt" un-official is better it means you dont have to say what GM wants you to victory_red_SS 05-06-2005, 07:34 PM ....with the t-shirt idea????? redrocket 05-07-2005, 12:16 AM How about, "Chevy Cobalt. It's about damn time." I like this. plyboy-illest 05-07-2005, 12:43 AM How about, "Chevy Cobalt. It's about damn time." hahah that one is so true Boostin 05-07-2005, 01:33 AM I'm with coxne on that one, or at least something along those lines. Come on, like you haven't said it under your breath yourself.... philco_3 05-11-2005, 11:39 AM Any new word on the T-shirts Jonelz? perhaps going to get some printed up and sell them and some decals at the Bash?
