Question Question On The Shifter Knob????

What's Up Guys and Girls......

OK here is my question...

Does anyone know if the LS Coupe 5spd. with the Sport Package, comes with a Short Shifter like the SS..?????

Just wondering... If it does that would be cool!!...

Hey

Thats a good question. I'm inclined to say no, since the SS Supercharged uses a completely different transmission than the other 5-speed Cobalts, but I don't think I have ever seen a picture of anything other than the SS S/C with a manual trans (since it is the only option on that car).

All of the interior pics of the Cobalt Coupes/Sedans that I have seen have had the 4-speed auto, even the pics on Chevrolet's site. Perhaps somebody with a Base/LS/LT Coupe or Sedan can confirm whether or not the actual shifter is the same basic unit as on the SS S/C, problem is I don't know if anybody on here has taken delivery of a 5-speed Cobalt yet

Not the same

I've sat in a 5-Speed Cobalt Sedan up at my local dealership. The actual shifter that is used in the Coupe/Sedan is NOT the same as the one used in the SS/SC.

NO SHORT SHIFTER IN THAT MODEL, ONLY THE SS/SC HAS THE SHORT SHIFTER IN IT BECAUSE OF THE SPECIAL TUNED TRANNY IN IT
