Single Xenon HID Kits $130 shipped overnight
Fog Light HID Kits $130 shipped overnight
Bi-Xenon HID Kits $270 shipped overnight
D2S or D2R Bulbs $60 shipped overnight for a pair

One of the best Digital HID Kits on the market! The Bi-Xenon are TRUE Bi-Xenon Kits, look at the close up's of the duel beam kits. As with all of our kits, they are PLUG AND PLAY and come with relays already installed. Thats right, our kit comes with a relay harness. Don't be fooled by the other brands that don't have these. There are very few cars that can run without a relay harness and not burn out your factory connections. The only hassle you have is finding out where you want to mount the ballast. All of our kits are waterproof and vibration resistance. The pictures speak for themselves. As with all our kits, we stand behind them with a 1 YEAR NO HASSLE WARRANTY.

Every Single Xenon kit comes with:
2 Xenon bulbs
2 HID Ballast
Plug and Play Wiring Harness
Installation Guide
Mounting Hardware
1 YEAR NO HASSLE WARRANTY

Every Bi-Xenon kit comes with:
2 Dual beam Xenon bulbs
4 HID Ballasts
Plug and Play Wiring Harness
Mounting Hardware
1 YEAR NO HASSLE WARRANTY

Available Bulb Sizes: H1, H3, H4-Low, H4 Bi-xenon, H7, H8, H9, H11, H13, 9003, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, D2S / D2R

You can buy colors from 4,300k, 6,000k, 8,000k, 10,000k, 12,000k. Custom colors are $20 extra and are as follows; blue, yellow, purple. We can do other colors but these are the most common.

Now there is not a huge light output difference between 4300k and 12000k. To illustrate my point, here is a comparison picture of the two on the same car. 12000k left - 4300k right

So in the end it comes down to what color you are looking for or like the most. All the Kelvin ratings are clickable to see our customer cars that have them installed.

Custom Colors (added $20 charge and a 9-13 business day wait. there are other colors also, but these are the ones I have pictures of. These are not available for D2S/D2R or Bi-xenon bulbs)

Also, our Custom Colored bulbs start out as 4300k bulbs and then the gases inside are altered to give the desired color.

Here is a comparison between 4300k and a Custom Color Purple. Also this does not affect the life span of the bulb.

Is this $130 price include slim ballasts or just the regular?

The price is $130 shipped with regular ballast. Slim ballast are only really needed for motorcycles when space is at a premium.

Best thing to do partner, better to get the projectors first so you order the right bulbs.

i will be placing an order soon. i have been wanted HIDs for a while. i have the first gen projectors
If memory serves me right they use the H1 bulbs for the low beam, but you might want to double check to make sure.

The OEM fogs on the Cobalt have an extremely clean cut off line and are very wide especially with the HIDs.

The single xenon kit gives you a xenon low and a halogen high beam ($130 shipped)
The bi-xenon kit gives you a xenon low and high beam ($270 shipped)

Most people opt for the single xenon kit as their low beam is so bright that they no longer use their high beams except to flash people.

i can wait, i just hope its not longer than 13 buisness days.

What you do is order the bulb size, H7 and the harness as a 9007 which is for your factory connection so everything is still plug and play. No added price for mixing and matching like that so you know.

Quick run down:
-50w ballast increase the price of the kit by $15
-50w ballast are brighter than 35w balllast
-50w ballast drop the kevlin color by 1000k. So if you have an 8000k bulb, it'll look like a 7000k kit.

For a pair of H1 bulbs, it is $60 shipped.

what if i need just the ballast?
We sell just ballast(s) by themselves. It is $40 shipped for one ballast. It comes with just the connection that attaches the ballast to the bulb. So you need the connection that attaches the ballast to the power source, be it a relay harness or a PnP harness that draws power directly from your OEM connection.

I guess I'll just ask here since I can't get a response from your website...

I have another brand (eBay) HID kit that uses the stock wiring to connect to the power harness for the ballasts (Hella brand I believe). Will your $15 Relay harness work to connect the ballasts properly directly to a power source? Also what does the kit include? I'm assuming a relay, connectors, and wiring harness? Any way I could get a picture to make sure my ballast connectors will hook up? Thanks...

If the bulb is flickering it seems like the ballast is bad or there is an electrical problem. If the bulb was burnt out it most likely would not turn on at all. Double check the wiring, and if that doesn't solve it, but a new ballast...

It sounds like a crack on the return lead for the bulb. In that case, it is probably only a problem with the bulb. Replace it and see how it works out.

how much for h1 halo lights
For just H1 HID bulbs it is $60 shipped for a pair. But you need the rest of an HID kit (ballast and connectors) to make everything work.

what if i need just the ballast?
For just 1 ballast, it is $40 shipped

I guess I'll just ask here since I can't get a response from your website...

As long as your ballast are similar to ours then yes it will work with your kit. Most every kit on the market today uses the same type of connectors so you should be good to go.
http://home.comcast.net/~patcourt/hid/ballast.jpg

But our relay harness comes with 2 connections for each ballast and 1 connector for your OEM connection, 1 ground wire and 1 power wire with inline fuse and of course the relay :)

And here is a little diagram of the harness. This a 9006 harness, the only difference is the OEM connection.
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r52/webmancorvette/DSC06180.jpg

A good way to check to see if it is a bulb or ballast is to make a note of which side is bad. Passenger or drivers side, then from there move the ballast around, passenger or drivers side and vise versa. See if the problem follows the ballast. If it does it is the ballast, if it does not it is the bulb.

Also for your car, you either use a 9007 if you have factory headlamps or an H1 or H7 if you have aftermarket projectors depending on what type you have.

so.. the single bean xenon its just one bulb and the Bi-xenon are two bulbs short and bright light?
The single xenon kit has a xenon low beam and a halogen high beam.

The bi-xenon kit has a xenon low and high. Most people are very satisfied with the single xenon kit as they barely ever use there high beams afterwards.

30w vs 50w.

im assuming the 50w is brighter

Quick run down of the differences between 35w and 50w ballast.
-50w ballast are brighter than 35w ballast
-50w ballast drop a bulbs kevlin color by 1000k. So an 8000k bulb will look like a 7000k bulb with 50w ballast.
-50w ballast make the price go up by $15
-50w ballast last just as long as 35w ballast and does not shorten the life of any of the components.

We could have pinned it the wrong way where as the halogen bulb is your low beam and your xenon is your high beam. That would explain why your highs beams have a blue hue and have a warm up time.

Ya, we probably just looked at the wrong diagram when we put em into the socket. Most people use the harness, but you can opt out and just use the Plug and Play set up if you wish.

csementuh
07-25-2008, 12:31 AM
I would definitely recommend using the relay harness. The relay harness is still plug and play except you just have to connect it to the batter terminal and to a ground which is super easy... Other than that it is just as easy if not easier than using the plug and play. I was using the plug and play with my eBay kit and I bought one of 3BSpec's relay harnesses. It wired in perfectly with my kit and the install was really easy. It now looks professional and I don't have to worry about overloading my stock wiring. It is a nice harness. Just plug it in and zip tie it to the factory wiring in the front of the engine. You can't even see it once installed...

what would the upgrade cost of going to dual hid bulbs, low and high beam?

operatic

After buying a single xenon kit it is an added $140 to upgrade. You get new bulbs, a bi-xenon harness and new ballast

Area47
07-28-2008, 05:46 PM

But quick question as it makes a difference: Do you have factory headlamps or aftermarket projectors?

i will be getting projectors not sure which ones though

At that point you really only need a single xenon kit as your high and low beams are on separate bulbs now.

your website says you will need a higher number if you have projector lights instead of the stock housing. i like the look of the 8,000k so which bulbs would i need to achieve that look in my projector lights?

Best bet would be to go with the 10,000k to help get that same color in a projector housing at the lens.

If you can show me a picture of your projectors I can tell you or you can pull the bulb out of the housing and it should say on the bottom of the bulb, if not you can match it up. It is either going to be an H7 or an H1 for the Cobalt.

For a bi-xenon kit with 50w low and high, it would be $280 shipped.

Yup, they have the xenon low beam and a halogen high beam.

sorry i know this was posted awhile ago.. but do the halogen high beams have the same color as what u ordered? i was looking to buy 9007 8000k hid kit witch i heard was very blue and bright..

operatic
11-22-2008, 09:19 PM
The halogen high beam is just a regular halogen bulb, so it will be a yellowish white color

Ok. I want to get the fog light conversion kits and the bi-xenon. Does the fog kit take care of both lights? What bulbs do i get? I was planning on getting halo headlights.

also too for my conversion kit, not to sound like a total idiot, but should i get twin halo led projectors, ccgl halo projectors, ordual led halo projectors? I just wanna know what would be best for the kit

Honestly the single xenon kit is just fine as the low beams will be so bright that you'll hardly ever use your high beams afterwards.

But if you have factory headlamps you'll use a 9007. If you have aftermarket projectors, you'll have either H1 or H7 bulbs.

You're fog lights will be an H11 kit so you know.

As for the aftermarket projectors, all of the Cobalt ones come with halo's and LEDs. I do not believe any of them are CCFL's though at the moment.

It's actually easier to have it so you have the harness as an H1 connection as the projectors already have a 9007 connector on them.

<-Slightly confused, there's a few wires that I dont know what to do with in my HID kit.

How would it be easier using the H1 instead of the 9007? 9007 is what is on the car.

Got my 9007 harness today, it's actually easier to hook up with the 9007 than the H1 that the kit came with. Having issues getting the bulbs into the housing.....Looking for thread.

Thx! I picked up the paint at the O'rileys paint shop, its mixed to GM specs and is great to work with. I still gotta redo the clear though, the stuff they gave me turned out the way you see it. Maybe next weekend if the weather cooperates I'll get around to making it nice and shiny like the body is. Once that is done, the eyebrow should blend with the body very nicely.

Oh and a note to people having to modify their housings to get the bulbs to fit: Do it with the headlight apart so you dont get "glittery" crap all over the inside of the headlight. Also known as metal shavings.

IDK about the wiring for the 1st gens, but for the 3rd gens, I just ordered the plug and play harness under the h1 bulb section and it worked fine. I had to do a tiny amount of wiring, but nothing too major. It's not literal plug and play. Paypal is all that they take.

BTW, I just put my HIDs in, and they work great! Thank you 3bspec for such a great product at an affordable price!

You can pay with a credit card though paypal. There's an option on paypal's site when you go to pay to just put your credit card info in without creating/having an account. So the payments technically through paypal, but you don't need an account to pay.
