Stage 2 goes on tomorrow!!!!!!

I'm sure there's a ton of threads about this but I don't care because I'm excited. I'm taking her to the dealer at 830 and they're gonna start right away. I'm so excited. It's been sitting in my room for a month and now it's finally getting done. I can't wait to see the power difference from it. Is there any break in period with the Stage 2 or is it "thrashable" right from the dealer? And how much differrence will my 2.9" pulley make over the Stage 2 pulley in terms of power and boost? I'm thinking maybe 5HP and 1lb? I'm at sea level if that makes any difference.

To sum up... Woooooooo Stage 2!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got Stage 2 on Monday... I absolutely love it and you can tell a huge differance. The supercharged winds up alot quicker and is noticably louder (whine). All I have is Stage 2 with a K&N CAI. I love the setup. I'm just like you and already getting a 2.9 from another member on here. I doubt you will be able to tell any differance with the 2.9 but it should be a lil quicker.

Congrats on the stage...

Thanks guys!!! I can't wait!!!!! I really hope that I'll still be able to hear all the s/c whine good after I put on my header/dp. God, it's such an amazing sound. And the dealer is $270 after taxes, which isn't too bad.

And Vic, Come to the meet on sunday if you can

its fun for about 2 days. Then you get used to it and bored, and then you want to do more modding. It is addicting. I would recommend getting a CAI for the car. It opens up the supercharger noise, and it sounds ******* sick.

Never mind you do........sorry, didn't read your mods. It does sound better than stock though, since your spinning with that smaller pulley.

Sounds good. Lets hear some reviews after it's put in.
As soon as you get out of the dealer lot, rip it... and make sure your redline is at 7k rpm. If it isn't, it means they didn't flash it, which is very important.

^^Will do. There's no break-in period for it?

Vic - Yea, it's at one. I'll see you there.

srowler9 - CAI was my first mod haha, best decision ever, and believe me, I have the modding bug... and bad.

x Infinity. You'll get the "more mods" bug quick, no matter how many you already have.

You won't notice too much difference in the butt-dyno with the 2.9, after a tune you might notice more, but the difference between 3.0 and 2.9 is about 1 PSI, if that. Power gain on the S2 tune should be minimal, but a tune should unlock some more.

I don't agree completely with that. I think that if a mod give you a noticably faster car, than is isn't minimal. I bought my car, had it for 3 weeks before I got S2. I cought really tell a big difference in stage 2. I do agree that you won't get much more out of a 2.9 though, but you will get something.

gm's stage 2 tune sucks, find someone who can get you a better tune will yield you more hp. gm still doesnt let the full capacity out of the stage2 if there letting it keep the warrenty, just to be safe. the stage 2 set-up is good, when i put the 60s in was when i was like daaaaaamn! i wouldnt go below a 2.75 pulley either IMO, my 2.6 makes the car feel and act differently with all this instant boost off of the belt. need any help man hit me up

HOLY ****!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's so awesome. Just drove her home from the dealer and it was a blast. The 2.9" pulley is on too. I love it. I can't wait to go get her tuned (maybe Tune Time) sometime in the next month or two. What are most people boosting with it? I glanced real quick and it was like 15/16psi.
I'm already contemplating droping to a 2.8" and then throwing on 60's and then getting a tune. I wanna go fassssssst haha. But only on a closed course

should of gotten the 60s and a 2.8 first, you should though get a header/dp and intake to see the true gains out of it to support it.

congrats I am boosting just about 16 psi... You might be hitting more than that (since you have the 2.9).. It doesn't get max boost until you are between 6500 and 7000 so you gotta watch carefully.
And have fun!!
