Brand new Halos!

Anyone want to buy a week old set of halo's? Only slightly used! [backspace]-[backspace], Fresh Paint!

yeah, i just crushed the entire front end of my car on a BMW. t-boned it on a very busy street (edit: over-dramatic use of t-bone, i hit his front fender and drivers-side door). its too dark outside to see the real damage. After spending a major ass load of money recently on rebuilding the 2.4L, im scared shitless to open the hood. I'll post pics in the morning.

one interesting thing, both cars doing 25-30mph, air-bags didnt deploy in either cars and i slammed my forehead into my steering wheel. left arm slammed into a-pilar. Whats the point of non-functional air-bags?!

...there are 3 impact sensors in the front of the car, if 2 of the 3 do not go off then your airbag won't deploy.

Were you wearing your seatbelt?

How did your head hit the steering wheel? did the seat belt anchor not kick in? Or were you not wearing your seatbelt?

Either way I am glad to hear nobody was hurt.

heh, no. telling a story.

Daylight pics of the damage.

Not the worse thing ever... but damn it still sucks to have happen to your baby..

engine appears to be fine. I think the CV joints or axels got jarred, something is making a almost metal-on-metal scrapping noise as i roll out of 1st gear... and the radiator is cracked. other than that, the engine appears to be okay.

Son of a gun. I was riding with a buddy in his truck, when he lost control and rolled 3 times. I had my belt on (FTW!) and only had one scratch on one hand, he was ejected out of the truck, but luckily survived.

Glad you're ok.. but honestly.. why the hell would you not wear your seatbelt? It's almost like those guys who drive ninjas and r600s without either helmets or body armor.. you're just asking for it. It doesn't take much of an impact to eject you, and chances are that windshield isn't gonna be nice to you. Shitty luck though man, hope it doesn't cost too much.

I bet I can guess why you got hurt... If the airbag went off without the seatbelt you would have be ******* worked hardcore, probably a broken nose and burns to the face.

How'd you manage to t-bone a guy and have it be both of your fault?

I'd imagine that one of you should have had the right of way.

Yea honestly. Seems like it's actually bigworm's fault but he won't admit it for fear we'll think he's a bad driver

when i was little i threw one of those 5min massive smoke bombs into a busy intersection on fourth of july. if it was something like that it could be both their faults lol

my smoke bomb stopped traffic for a good 8minutes and made me not get allowed to play at the carnival or see fireworks that 4th. haha i was quite the lil bastard.

of course everyone is going to be righteous and say they wear their seat belt "100% of the time, all the time, every time". But the fact of the matter is even if the most hardcore safety people kept an HONEST tally of the times they ran out to the store 'real quick' and just didn't think to click it up, then it would be the same number or close to as me. the only difference being this 'real quick' also happened during my first ever accident.

two lefts don't make a right =]

I didn't exactly t-bone him, bad choice of words on my part. damage was to his drivers side fender and door. California uses a percentage in placing blame this case its 50/50. (dunno how it works in your area)

Honestly tho, i had to drive around immediately the next day to make sure i wasn't going to be gun-shy after having my cherry popped.

I don't know if that is true. I honestly can't ever remember not wearing a seatbelt. I'd have to make a conscious effort not to. Putting it on is so ingrained in me that it happens without a thought.

it depends how you were raised. Older generations tend not to wear their seatbelts, therefore their children might not. Not to mention, seat belts have not been manditory until recently. I, myself am like you, and its always the first thing i do when i get in a car (unless intoxicated lol) but my father gets seat belt tickets all the time because growing up he never wore them.

Thats a good point. I never wore a seat-belt til they made it a law, which was a few years after i started driving. And my parents grew up in a time where you paid extra for the seat belt options.
