It's not the Cobalt of course, but I figured it would be of interest to those on here.

Looks more like a turbo spike at the end of the dyno than an actual improvement. For the most part, the graphs are identical. I would expect a cat-back to provide subtle improvement throughout the powerband.

The power up top is real. My car used to fall flat somewhere above 5k. My butt dyno noticed this before I got the dyno results. The dip down low was less noticeable. The butt dyno still confirms.

My personal opinion is that I don't expect any real power with a cat back. This engine heat soaks. My hope of any exhaust is to simply get rid of the heat over any huge expectation of power gain. I believe this graph honestly expresses the gains and at this time, with about 1500km on the system so far, I am still pleased with the results. And if the computer pulls my new found breath, I can reset the computer before a trip to the strip.

This computer is a pain. Even if it learns it out, the benefits of the system, making the same power with less effort, is more. I enjoy my fart cans. Lets be sirius, most buy exhaust for the sound. I consider this to have pretty decent sound.

They tried several different combinations. Some actually losing power. A symptom of many production systems. Believe it or not.

And of course, people also buy it for looks. What speaks to me is the after y pipes that show from behind the car. I was unsure of the rest of the apearance at first. It's a little outrageous with the carbon fiber muffler and billet tips. These are both options. The mufflers are available in polished SS and the tips can be removed leaving a refined finish behind. I will be taking the tips off some time just to see. I might like it too. I am also thinking of a different finish on the tips. Black chrome might be interesting. Even the muffler can be entirely disasembled for personalization. In any case, the look grew on me quickly. I have no issue leaving it the way it is.

Thanks for the comments. The car will go back in for the DP/cat. After that, well see. A tune of some sort will likely be in the future, I'm taking it a step at a time.

I have there exhaust on my 2005 3500 Dodge Cummins. MBRP puts out a great exhaust. You can usually get either a 304 or 409 stainless systems. I hope they will support the Cobalt community.

MBRP does make some solid parts. Optional materials are a nice touch. Obviously, I like the shinney stuff.

If the Delta community wants it, MBRP will likely listen.

Your numbers appear to be very high for a stock Sol, especially considering you were on a Mustang Dyno. Most stock cars I have seen on the forums are below 235 whp.

Apparently the car actually made better numbers than this on a few runs. They chose to use the modest results.

They use the dyno for tuning purposes. Several different designs were tried. Some actually dropping power.

I won't complain if my car is a factory freak. I would say that the car feels strong.
