Car Wont Start...Help..

the car started fine on wensday...yesterday i didnt drive it because i had to pull the valve cover and align the cam sensor. i put it all together and the car wouldnt start. i found that the ground to the valve cover was stripped. but it was kinda snug on there so i dont know if that would be the reason. anyone have an idea?

idk man, you have to many little things that need to be figured out right now, need to go through the entire engine bay with a fine tooth comb and verify everything is correct.

like slowbalt said, is it trying to crank, just clicking, or is it turning over just not starting?

i had the plug thing pulled off and started the car and nothing...but that doesnt matter if the engine not being grounded is causing it

well thats adds to the symptoms......... so it cranks but doesn't start, it's not getting spark, but it is getting rail pressure. there is two things i can see that it would be one is the cam sensor is still off and you should reset it with the #4 ATDC on the compression stroke, the other one is the ground cable is still not grounding correctly so the ignition has an incomplete circuit. it has to be one of those 2 things........well it could be something else, but what idk...........

idk if the cam sensor being 180 out (if the build book is wrong) would not allow it to start...

i'd go with this:

it can't hurt to try it with the number 4 tdc on the compression stroke.......

gotcha, i was more reffering to the small block of instructions it gives in the pic more than the pic itself.
