Just need to finish installing the parts. Actually, I MIGHT wait until the dual pass and heat exchanger is done being installed, dunno. Either way, the last dyno i did was at 245.9 and that was 3inch exhaust, stock header, no downpipe, no cat, just 3 inch exhaust, with maganflow muffler and stage 2 kit, and that was 245.9whp and some odd torque.
Edit: I just realized my buddy tim has the fastest 2.4 on this website. He put down 268 whp and 300ish ft lbs of torque. I will have to call him when we do my run and grab his sheet and scan them up for you guys. He has the Hahn turbo kit lol. 4k well spent.

those are nice numbers though with the 2.4 kit... boostedg5 needs to get a new dyno he's supposed to be over 300 easily close to 350 if i remember correctly he is running 15 psi on the hahn kit..

The video of the Back-To-Back Same Day test done by that Dynapack shop doesn't lie. They ran the car, did the work, and crunched the #'s.
Additionally, I also verified this myself a while back with a completely different car.
When I owned an '06 Focus ST, I dynoed it on Synapse's Dynapack. With I/E, dozens of people on the Focus Fanatics Forums were all reporting the same numbers.
Consistent 135-140whp on roller dynos.
But with those same exact mods, I got precisely 127whp at Synapse. Using the same 10% conversion factor again, you get (Ta Da!) ....
141whp. Exactly what everyone else was getting with those mods on roller dynos.
Beginning to notice any consistencies here L/W?
Well, if it's still not adding up for you yet - then why don't do this: shell out $75 (what Synapse charged me) and put your car on a Dynapack and let me know what you get.

no we didnt ask frank to pay anything he practically fought us to take it.
frank the dynopack vs roller thing isnt so cut and dry. they might have compared theirs to a roller, but ive seen some dynapacks that read very high. it all comes down to each individual dyno and its user not a specific brand or model compared to another.

,frank the dynopack vs roller thing isnt so cut and dry. they might have compared theirs to a roller, but ive seen some dynapacks that read very high. it all comes down to each individual dyno and its user not a specific brand or model compared to another.
I understand what your trying to say, but please understand that I haven't based my conclusions solely on that one Dynopack shop's testing.
First off (and as I have already stated here before) I got the same exact result differentials from the testing I did at your facility of my '06 Focus ST. Other people's various roller dynos from across the country showed the EXACT same % difference that I received there with my SC.

Additionally, I've spent quite a bit of time cross referencing a variety of tech articles and tests, computing the #'s frontwards and backwards. And it all works out the same.

he is making basically the same thing I am. However I don't know if he has actual tuning tuning or the gm stage 2 tune. Either way, him and I are very close. What is wrong with that considering we both have an intake, gm stage 2 pulley, header, downpipe, exhaust, and some sort of tune whether it be gm stage 2 or his own tune.

So your saying a stage 2 car with full exhaust and an intake is putting 270 hp to the wheels? I think it would be closer to crank HP myself.
The only way to make an official dyno thread is to do all pulls on the same dyno lol. Maybe everyone that wants to be on this list should meet in the middle of the country and shoot it out. Otherwise these numbers aren't anything to make rankings off of.
If there is a dyno close to the GM lordstown meet maybe we should get some time booked cause there are going to be a shit load of cobalts there.

InfinityzeN 07-10-2008, 05:36 PM All those people making crazy power with the GM2 are giving raw and not SAE net numbers. Couple on the list, I know for a fact are raw (was there for them). On GM2, I got ~258whp raw. However, that was only 236whp SAE. If I gave the raw numbers instead of my SAE, I would be mid 270's with my current tune, almost touching 280 if I gave a 3rd gear pull.
Just a little something to think about.
Note: my 251whp/221ft-lbs are a SAE Net 4th gear pull, topping out at 6.4k rpms.

I have a new rule that we should put into this...you MUST have to post your stock dyno numbers in order to post your modded ones, this is the only way to tell if your dyno reads high or not.
I say put there stock numbers in ( ) so it would be easier for ppl to check shit out, and nno more arguements. And if you didnt dyno stock then its easy to question your dyno

Most people have neither the time/interest/$$ to do baselines. And if they don't, then we all have to agree that the posted dyno #'s on this thread are just for fun. That's it.
I didn't even baseline my own car before installing Stage 2. Which is why I didn't bother posting my #'s here, because there''s no use in comparing my Dynapack results with the "overinflated" numbers of roller dynos.
But I think everyone has to admit, my "Same Day/Same Dyno" comparison with the 08 SS/T has A LOT going for it!
That's because Same Day/Same Dyno comparison testing tells no lies.
Let's try to get more of those if we can!

lets take lsj's car for instance. he did 253 whp and trapped 115mph. now, my cute little 290 whp car should be faster right? wrong. highest i have trapped is 109.52.
now whats that say about dyno numbers? they are fucking useless when trying to compare two cars in different parts of the nation.
people rely way too much on dyno numbers. there is a fatal flaw to this
well im goin by my dyno which i think is SPOT on because i traped 112 awhile ago when I was at 310ish whp and another kid dynoed 290 and trapped 109..but this is FL trap speeds lol, plus i dunoed 212 and 203 stock so i think it is right there when it comes to power fo the car

We had trouble with the manuel boost controller and had to run higher boost then we wanted. We felt that if we could have ran 18psi on a cooler day instead of 95 plus degrees we would have ran closer to 350 but rerun will have to wait.

Snakes709 12-29-2008, 04:47 PM i wouldnt say 4 runs....The way i did it was my mechanic hooked his laptop up to my car, tuned it, i drove around with his laptop so it was logging the files, he adjust it. So we did the tune that way then i did 30 pulls on the dyno, Spent like 6 hours on the dyno. My car was the first SS/SC he did so we had to mess with the tables abit. And you can see at 3500rpm theres a dip in power that we were messing with for a few hours, its better then that now (that dyno is old) But i got called away to get on my course in the army so we ran out of time and never advanced the timing. So 230hp is basically a base tune. So I think 2.9 and 42lb would make that with a good tune.

Bone stock 2.2L L61. (Only difference between the two runs was I removed my horribly dirty paper air filter, I wouldn't consider that a mod).
And ignore the loop at the beginning, the car would shift when the dyno "released" me, and then would shift back into second (despite the shifter being in I) and I went on with the run.

A. new supercharger
B. new turbocharger
