so i come home last night and park my car and then hear this sound

stupid cars going by but listen for the stove trying to light sounding sound.. WTF is that?! THE CAR IS OFF!!!!
btw the horn beeping at the end is my annoying car alarm

My jeep did that when it was leaking oil. Check ur oil might be valve clatter

Sounds just like mine, does it after running for awhile. Temperature differences within the exhaust make the sound.

x2, mine actually needed a whole new gasket. Only had about 1500 miles on it too. Go GM!

I'd just double check the blinker fluid to be sure. They make very similar sounds.

Yeah, every one of these cars will do that to a certain degree. Mine does that, but at a slower rate, and not nearly as loud.

i just replaced mine over the weekend, it was black and gunky as hell. went with the synthetic so i dont' have to worry about it for a while though

Wtf I just asked a simple question. This is my first NEW car. I wanted to make sure nothing is wrong with it. My taurus doesn't make this sound, so it's normal to be a little concerned. Didn't have to be such ****** about it.....
