Silly questions about the heated leather seats in the SS 2.4L:

1) Does the bottom of the seat and the back of the seat heat up, or only the bottom of them?

2) Is there an intensity adjustment or is it just plain on or off?

3) Anyone know why they are not offered in the base seats of the SS/SC? Are they not basically the same as the other Cobalt models, just with colored inserts (if ordered) and the "SS" embroidery?

I am just wondering because my mother's Oldsmobile Silhouete (spelling?) has these and they are only the bum warmers with on off and they fry your ass if you leave them on too long! The 2.4L SS I was in didn't have leather, only the cloth buckets.

Thanks,

Dustin

Yep and high and low and it heats both the butt and back. Sometimes I feel like the back doesn't get as hot but it could be the way i'm sitting/what i'm wearing.

Anyone else noticed that before?

Thanks. I should have ordered a 2.4L SS. Those but warmers would have been nice in the winter!

I may be the only person that has heated seats in an 2005 SS/SC 2.0. My dad and i put them in. $150.00 for both front seats. it took some effort but i absolutely love them. i live in east lansing michigan so it gets freezing here. i can send you pics if you are curious.

The heated seats are really nice for those mornings when it's chilly out. Both high and low settings.... as far as I can tell it's mainly just the bottom of the seat that heats up... I notice it more than the back portion.
