That would be nice. Brandon97Z 06-03-2008, 01:15 PM So 09's this fall will have a 1.4L turbo that gets 40mpg? That would be nice. No the motor will debut in North America in fall of 09. It won't be in a cobalt untile mid 2010 umrdyldo 06-03-2008, 01:18 PM "That engine will make its North American debut a few months before the new compact in the 2009 Cobalt out this fall." Is my reading comprehension f-ed up, cause i read that as it's in the 2009 fall cobalt before the new compact that replaces it. Is my reading comprehension f-ed up, cause i read that as it's in the 2009 fall cobalt before the new compact that replaces it. I read it the same way you do. It does most certainly say the new engine will be available in the '09 models coming out this fall, and this article is not the first place to quote that statement. Curious though that the existing Cobalt platform will run for another year and a half... somewhat depressing really... Bika 06-04-2008, 02:12 PM they better make the cobalt's replacement lighter than the 2900# curb weight we currently sport. weight is teh enemy of small displacement, torque lacking engines. |
