Painting stock rim options (pics)

I have G5 Stock rims and they look hard to paint if i would paint them. I have the sunburst color
Here are two pics of my rim. these are plastic btw.
the colors i would like would be this same orange or black and chrome.

i know if i did these, there would be alot of taping off. just need some help and opinions on how to do and maybe the colors
more pics of my car can be viewed on http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3014822

I think orange and black would be badass. Like maybe the little divits coming outward from the lug-nuts orange and the higher points black, including the outer edge. Maybe leave a little silver on the slanted parts.

X2, that would look real good!

Mine weren't too bad to tape off, SSimple rims ftw!

I know they are not the same style, but to give you an idea of the black and orange.

but heres the thing, im not sure how to tape off rim everyone has the balt rims that are flat. maybe i just need to sit down and photo shop. gotta find mine to install first.
if someone is bored, go ahead and photo shop mine if you have an idea in the head.

i know. but that will be later if i dont paint these. my wheels are still pretty damn good. and i cant just get the rim things cause my wheels are only 15". thats why my ride is so damn high. i plan on lowering it too.
but anywayz. ima try to photoshop something up tonight or tomorrow. maybe just put tape on it and rearrange tape.

i know this sucks, but i couldnt get photoshop

the darkish silver is going to be the chrome paint. the orange thingy in the middle was an oppsy and its going to be the pontiac symbol orange. idk about the lug nuts. i will have to paint them a color after i put the rims back on the tire.

any suggestions would be great. this is going to be next weekend im doing it.

Just a suggestion, but, painting just that park that sticks up is going to be VERY difficult. Even with well taped lines, you will still have that shadow that will make it look weird at different angles, give me a minute, let me see what I can photoshop up. You will like it.

Okay, so its been a while since I have Photoshopped something, Lol. If you like how I painted mine, thats how I would recommend doing yours. Dont worry about painting those ridges, just paint everything black that is not part of that outside. Use mine to see what I mean. This way, when you look at it still, it makes the wheels look bigger, seeing as the paint goes all the way to the tire, and when it is moving, it makes it look like it has a lip.

that would be great if you could photoshop me something. i'm going to think of alot of stuff during this whole week and any opinions would be extra help.

i'll probably make a final decision friday so i can buy the paint i need and prep the rims for saturday morning so i can use the whole weekend to do them if needed. should only take saturday though.

I would do something like that, but with color-matched orange where you said dark silver.

I would actually consider doing another 2 coats of black and then 4-5 coats of clear.

Just right over, the more layers on things like wheels, the better It will help prevent chipping, flaking, and if rocks and such hit them, it has to go through a bunch of layers.

if u painted the inside part black, and the protruding "tine" triangles orange w/ an orange lip and painted the open triangles black, that'd be sick. it's hard to describe though. it'd be alot of taping and time, but totally worth it.

Going to do touch ups next weekend.

also, going to put a gloss spray on it cause the black on the rims is the same color as the tire. kinda wanted the black to stand out from the tire a lil bit.
bought the gloss black but the clear coat took out the gloss
