April in Ohio ?!? There could still be snow on the ground.

7-8 hour drive to from my place. I am gonna see if I can swing the trip with work.

I made this a sticky.

While it is possible, with the way this winter has been its probably unlikely. We have never had a rainout (although we do have a rainout date) and hopefully this year is no different.

I agree.... my good Friend Rob Atchison runs Funny Car IHRA their and he raves about the track condition and has set some ET records there to boot...! Premier Facility is an understatement!! and track prep is next to none!!

For you Canadian (ontario) folks Consider Toronto Motorsports Park a "Baby Norwalk" as a comparison..!

Given the fact there just isnt gonna be alot of modded cars yet , for the Cobalts maybe something like this :

Pure Stock - Virgin cars go here ....right down to the paper filter . Bracket style format . Your car is stock for christs sake , how bout a AEM CAI to the winner :)

Super Stock - Unrestricted mods . Indexed like the old school EFI NMCA classes , man that class was BLAST to race in...most fun Ive ever had racing , due to the format , Pro-tree . Maybe 12.5-13.0 / 13.0-13.5 / 13.50-14.0 / 14.0-14.5 / 14.5-15.0 Winner gets $250

IntenSSe King of the Hill - unrestricted mods . Run what brung . Heads up pro tree . $500 to the winner .

I have no clue what you guys intend to do for prizes , so maybe my suggestions are a little , errrrr , generous

Don't feel bad. I'll be there with a new setup, and will probably embarass myself! Just go there to have fun. You'll have plenty of chances to make improvements and get your launching down throughout the day. I think people were able to make like 16+ passes last year!;) :)

Those are some nice prizes for the cobalt. I can't undestand why more people haven't registered yet? At this point it pays to go because you are pretty much guaranteed a nice prize that covers registration cost and you get a full day of fun drag racing.

This is not just a private track rental. This is a huge social event where you get to meet some of the quickest 3800's and now cobalts/ions. The event is well organized with some incredible track prep. Half the fun is socializing with people in the hotel parking lot the night before IDD. It's like a huge party. If thats not your thing than you can stay in the hotel with your buddies and play cards or go explore the small town of Norwalk. This is one event you wont want to miss!

Come on Cobalt/Ion owners!!!! I know there are quite a few in the area. Make the trip!!! Even if you have never raced before, take the time and go down for drag day! It is going to be a blast. I am sure I can run the slowest so don't be afraid!!!!

I missed the early registration and I am not real interested in the car show on sat. But come hell or high water I will be there SUN to tear it up.

If you go for Show Day, you will have to take pictures of any Cobalts. I don't know any Cobalts yet who are going on Show Day.

Everyone who didn't show up to IDD missed an awesome time!!! The guys at Intense are some of the nicest people you will meet!!! I don't care where I live at, this will be an event I plan to attend as long as I can drive a car. The track was in great shape and some pretty good times were run!!!

Any results for the Cobalt's SS ?

There were 6 'balts there. Runs ranged from 14.4x(stock), 13.91, 13.81(me), 13.71, 13.3x, 13.1x. I imagine times will be up on Intense's site in a little while. Once again, it was a great time, met a lot of cool people. I even met a guy who was running a 14.6 in his N/A Grand Prix. I asked him how much money he had into it and he said $180!!!!! Nuts!!! It was a great time and I am already looking forward to the next event.
