No man it doesn't. Send that back, Mine still looks real good and I have had it on for about 6 months. Something was wrong with the paint, almost looks like the dp had oil on it before they painted it.

hmm....mine peeled too.

is there any harm in this? it didn't cost me extra money and its on the back and bottom side of the engine so it doesn't really affect looks of the bay. I don't want to take it off and send it back unless for some weird reason the paint serves a purpose.....

My hooker headers on my formula were painted black.Burned right off as soon as i cranked it up.
As far as i know thats what they all do.If you want it to look good you buy jet hot ceremic coated ones.I knew mine was gonna peel and burn off and it did.

i got a downpipe.. its fine from zzp because its stainless steel.. but will NEVER buy anything else from them.. their a horrible vendor when it comes to taking responsibilty and that is enough for me to question their quality. if they make you pay sihpping thats ridiculous,, they should pay for shipping and send you a new one with a partial refund for the trouble of installi uninstalling it.. actually id prolly just tell them you just paid $100 to get it installed and look what happend just to see what they say

Thats because for ever good story theres 20 negitive ones...people dont post hey look awesome. They post f*** sh*t this company is horrid, my new clutch is slipping from doing a 9k clutch drop right when i drove out of the shop..booo oh and it took them 7 days to get it shipped to me when the website said 6...

Get over it. ZZP is one of the best vendors here. There right up there with TTR.

Let me ask.... did you punch it down the road as soon as you put it on?
Because... the best way to break in a header is to fire up the car and let it run for about 5 min. then shut it off. repeat again, then you should be able to drive it. this "bakes" the paint on better.

i havent gone over 3k rpms.. i was told to break in the cat for 500 miles, and i did let it run for prolly 10 mins before i drove it, the header had smoke comming off it the entire time

So you get a new one free of charge. Why get a discount?

EDIT: I could see a discount for a future purchase, but not a partial refund on this product.
