aw man..., I got all excited about this. I thought it was car against car until I saw the video. Even though it lost, that's still pretty impressive.

I will say, that was very impressive though.

 

Motor trend beat a Veyron with a Hennessy Viper... The Veyron is not the hot **** everyone makes it out to be...

 

true, but the veyron has many other aspects covered that the hennessey can't touch. I'm not even a real veyron fan but it is a well crafted and ingenious car.

you are thinking solely about the performance aspect of things. Those vipers are only good at going in a straight line, and I hope that you wouldn't think about driving it anywhere. They generate way too much heat, and are even hotter than a standard viper's cabin. Even with the engineering side of things in check, Bugatti took way more steps to make sure that it isn't just a modified shell with a boosted engine. With four turbos, they have to be running at a low boost rating to be putting out only 1001 hp. I don't think it would take much to make more power.
