advancedjdmparts/ebay intakes vs Injen/K&N/AEM, etc

What's the major difference between advancedjdmparts.com/ebay.com intakes and the high-end brand name intakes? Is it all paying for the name or is there an actual performance/material difference?

x2

The JDM has lower quality. It comes with a crappy filter, wrong clamps to mount it, and you have to file down the MAF slot so you can fit the connector. You can change the filter for a higher quality filer. A lot of members have no problem with the Ebay one after they fixed a few things.

I mean like the good brand intakes go for almost 300 bucks... is it really worth it for extra 5-6HP that you could get from a 100 dollar intake from JDM?

There is a big thread about the ebay intake and most of the people seem very happy with it.........once they got everything right. I'm mostly likely going to give the ebay intake a try. I too wouldn't pay $250 for a CAI due to the small ass HP gain you'll see for the money.

Thank you for the info.

People didn't seem to like them anyway.

any 3" filter will work provided it is less than 7" in length or it will rub / not fit it will hit the headlight bracket
