should i take muffler off on t/c?
i got an appt to get an exhaust. but am thinking of bailing on it. im worried what it will sound like. im going srt4 style n just puttin straight pipe in place of the muffler n havin him rewield the tip back on so it looks the same but sounds better. just worried it will be too loud. Any suggestions?
Test it out after the guy cuts the stock muffler out (before he welds up the tip & new section). Then you will be able to judge whether you want that level of loud or if you want to stick a resonator/muffler on it.

Tell me about it, I've been through quite a few versions of my exhaust and if I had to do it all over again, I'd go w/ a nice h/dp combo and keep the stock exhaust w/ a cut-out at the end of the DP.
Stock catback sounds great w/ upgraded manifold and dp, but not enough to get annoying or a ticket. Trust me, unless this car is going to be a weekend warrior, I suggest everyone look into elec cutouts...

I'm excited to hear what it sounds like. I would love to see an SS/TC with an SRT4 sound, or at least something close to it. I've heard a few GXP's with the Solo Performance exhaust (no muffler) that sound quite a lot like it.
