yah i think everyone traded in the Cavalier for a Cobalt. I had a 2000 Cavy before I sold it to my friends.

well to answer your question philco im from union,mo.. and to answer some of the other questions the balt is pretty basic i didnt really want the power everything becuase i dont like the fact that when you put the car in drive and you have power locks the doors lock on ya...and as for gateway j-body i never joined it but i did hang out on their forum too...

 

I'd say that's pretty accurate. I sold my 02 Cav Z24. It was having some problems though and the dealer tried to wriggle their way out of fixing anything. The biggest PITA on that car, though, was the damn dash. It was cracking just behind the windshield. I asked everyone I knew with a Cav about it, and their cars were even worse than mine. I'm afraid I'm going to see something similar with my '06 Cobalt in time, and I don't want that. Hope the sun shades do the trick.

Anyway, welcome to the site and the forums. I'm still kind of new here myself, but after even a short while you start to feel more and more at home. Good move with your purchase, pretty sure you won't regret it.

 

Welcome and congrats! I came from owning an '01 Cavy Z24. I've done a few things to it here and there. Almost no problems with it and I kinda miss it sometimes.
