Which parts in particular are you talking about... I've got a supplier who can put the best leather in the business on the seats for a hair under a grand, and others who can just put plain leather or some other fabric for between $500 and $750. If you're talking about painting the dash, it can be done... but why? GM uses a polyolefin (sp?) material that is dyed before it's molded and will resist fading and warping much better than if you paint over top of it. Villain P.S. Microsoft Word has no problems with "reupholster" Fatal Fax 02-08-2005, 06:06 PM Dont the sedans have an option to have black interior like the coupes? I know at Nissan it would cost you about $1-1200 to reupholstered from the dealer. BlueVillain 02-09-2005, 04:32 PM Dont the sedans have an option to have black interior like the coupes? I know at Nissan it would cost you about $1-1200 to reupholstered from the dealer. From the factory, no. The only factory trim options are as follows: Base Sedan 14B - Grey Cloth Trim 52B - Nuetral Cloth Trim LS Sedan 142 - Grey Leather Trim 14C - Grey Sport Cloth Trim 522 - Nuetral Leather Trim 52C - Nuetral Sport Cloth Trim LT Sedan 522 - Nuetral Leather Trim The coupes do not have the nuetral color scheme, only grey and black. That goes back to marketing, older people by nuetral interiors, younger people buy two-doors. The nuetral trims have wood grain like accents, and the greys have brushed nickel. You can have the dash painted as well, but like I said earlier, I wouldn't suggest it unless you want to re-paint it every couple of years. Villain coxne 02-09-2005, 05:16 PM looks like i need a coupe or just stick with grey. And sorry about reupholster mis-spelling, I am at work and too lazy to look it up =) atrain 02-19-2005, 01:32 PM coxne, There is a problem with trying to get Ebony seats in a Sedan. The guys are right about the color options and marketing. The technical issues are design related. The coupe RSC (rear seat cushion) has a different design than the sedan. It relates to H-point or (Hip point of the occupant) therefore the foam and trim covers are unique for Sedan and Coupe RSC only. The 60/40 rear backs are more universal in Coupes and Sedan, the foam and trim are only different on 60/40's for Base Level Cloth and Up Level Cloth Leather. Bottom line is it can be done with some work. I just put SS seats with blue inserts in my Silver 04 Cav. LS Sedan. It required allot of cutting and sewing and came out pretty good. I'll post some picts soon. |
