Hey everyone! Like the title says looking at getting a Cobalt. Found a black 06' SS/NA locally thats got 46,xxx miles. They want just under 11k for it. This sound like a good deal? I think were going to be trading in our S10 on it as well.

Interior has been an issue on some cars - loose switches, paint chipping, etc. - so check that out. Otherwise, mechanically they should hold up pretty well.

So I got off work late and got down there after he closed. The door was unlocked so I got to snoop around the car a bit. He painted the window switch panel. Its got the Pioneer sub in the trunk. It needs two front tires. They are down to the wear bars. Rotors are pretty rusty and I'll probably have to machine the fronts to get rid of it the best and get rid of the lip. Tires I can rotate for now. Rotors I can do at work no problem. Other than that the car is really clean. I did notice that when I shut the door the sunroof like shook up and down and what I think is the Cruise button on the steering wheel seems to stick when I pushed it. We are going down in the morning so he can see the truck and to drive it. I talked to him on the phone and it sounded like he wanted to get it gone by this weekend cuz they have had it a while or something.

The brake rotor's on these car's rust when its above 90% humidity lol, it doesn't even have to rain. When i wash my car the rotors are rusted up by the time i get the car dry lol.

the sunroof "shaking" when you close the door probably isnt anything to worry about. it always happened in my balt and my new car too, i think its just from the pressure of the door closing. they still stay sealed. good luck!

Is there anything you can tell me about what this is?

10/26/2007 431841 # R4490 - TRANSMITTER, REMOTE DOOR/REAR COMPARTMENT LOCK - REPLACE 30000 miles

And if it says where the work was performed?

When ever I lock up the car and come back out and unlock it the horn honks after I open the door. We only got one key with the car and no key fobs or anything.

ya i can look it up and i would be going back and getting the other key and both the fobs they are supposed to give them all to you when you buy the vehicle and the honking whenever you open the door is the security feature these cars have. the only way it won't honk is when the vehicle is opened with the fobs

Really? OK. I was kinda wondering if that was the case. He didn't both keys or the fobs when they got the car in. I'll call back down there and see if they could look some more. We have a G.M. store in our auto group so I can get parts at cost.

Thanks again man
