Lightbulb Who would be interested? SS TC Reproduction Rims?

I've been talking to a wheel manufacture and I just wanted to see who would be interested in some Cobalt SS TC Reproduction Rims? If there is enough interest this is something that we "may" start on and it will take apx 4-5 months to complete as a mold will need to be made and such.

What kind of finish would people be interested in?

Polished Look
Chrome Look
Powder Coated Look

As for price range I am shooting for MUCH cheaper than what GM / CED / Dealers want for the same wheel.

I'm also open to any ideas about this wheel if you have any... please post...

chrome or gunmetal rims in the SSTC style would be my preference. I would consider purchasing if under 400$

Problem with the same wheel in different bolt patterns ie: 4x100 5x110 or what have you is that unless you can put all those bolt patterns on the SAME wheel you will end up paying for more mold charges sicne they would be different rims.

Under 400 per wheel or under 400 for a set of 18s? If you are saying under 400 for the whole set I don't think that will ever happen because its not a rim that 10000000 will be made to drive the price THAT low.

See here is the big issue which I am having.... to keep costs down, the wheel will have to be the same for everyone... If you pick and choose different colors and what not it will be 100% pointless... I think it would be something to bite the bullet on and hope for the best...

I think maybe the OEM color / look would do best since people would have different options to pick from there. IE: We could work with a local powder coating company to get some nice rates to PC the rims for people if interested OR chrome the rims or high polish it....

But I think trying to keep it simple looking will drive the price even lower vs having 20 different styles out with different colors / patterns.

But as stated above I'm option to ideas and such.

How many different bolt patterns are there for the Cobalt / G5's ? 4x100 & 5x110 or is there more?

Black would be sick. Those stockers would look so much better painted black than our big a$$ chrome sc wheels. Too much metal to paint black, looks kinda tacky IMO of course.

SS/SC were polished aluminum, not chrome. Polished SS/TC wheels would look sweet. It must just be me, but I don't care much for black wheels.

Im interested 600-800 range seems very reasonable just make them exactly like the ss/tc rims now that way people can go there different ways with them.

I wonder if the manufacture can do a dual bolt pattern 4x100 and 5x110 on the same wheel to save a lot of money....

I'll make a phone call and see what I can come up with.
