HIDs in foglight in BC

any of you running hid in foglights around here? do you know if anyone would get into trouble with that? any problem with glare?

i assume the glare wont be too bad since we have projector fogs but im worried about wet ground reflection at night...

Doesn't it defeat the purpose of HID's
The HIDs are good b/c they light up the road and surroundings in huge sections. You can see the reflection off street signs from miles away.
Your fogs are only ment to light up the ground in front of your car, to help you see the boundries of the road that is infront of you, namely the reflective lines along the middle and edge.
Just seems like alot of work and time for something not really neaded.

Are you trying to get your fogs to mach those HID's your getting?
When I first did my conversion, the stock fog lights drove me nuts, they looked so ghetto compared to the HID's. So I went and bought Piaa 0004 XT Extreme Whites. They run at 4300k and are bright and white as hell, they give off way more light than the HID's and infact people don't get pissy about my headlights but if my fogs are on they get a bit choked. Guess I should aim them down a bit
They were only $175 at Lordco and I used all the stock wires rather than the stuff it came with. I plugged them right into where the stock ones were pluged into and I have had no problems

hmm... i dont think it should be a problem... it also depends when you use your fogs, personally i think the car looks way better at night with the fogs on, so i plan on looking into wiring my fogs through the headlamp switch, bypassing the dash button so when the lamps turn on at night, the fogs do too :P

but i feel ya i was looking into doing hid on both last year... im considering just getting ultrawhite bulbs though, less work, less expensive, and i dont need to buy projectors (i love the stock headlamp housings)

hmm im actually wanting to get yellow ones. im currently using yellow halogen for them but they keep going out every few months and the price really adds up. so i thought maybe going to hid would help out a bit with the cost and also improve the look a bit..

haha yea i always drive with fog lights on, even daytime. the wiring part seems like quite a bit of work tho (and make sure the auto light is not computer controlled like the DRL...)
