No. F23 = fwd. Aisin AR-5 = rwd.

...turned sideways. The F23 would not bolt up.

F35 are in ss/tc's but like said before that is fwd

the real answer is, not easily.

while i'm pretty certain that the block would work just fine, you'd need a new bellhousing, mounts, wiring, accessories, and basically, car.

i don't see it being a practical swap.

well what i was wondering about is fitting a LNF from a solstice into my car, a 2007 cobalt with a F23 5 speed manual.

Dont think so - I believe that the bolt patterns are different

it should work, its the same block...then again, them might have changed the housing to accomodate the other transmission. There is a pdf of the transmission outline on the gmtunersource page.
