Hybrid technology for all cars?

This is pretty crazy http://www.sigmaautomotive.com/elect...trocharger.php Their idea is to convert a car to run a small generator instead of the alternator, and charge a battery and power some electric motor(s) I think. Looks pretty promissing, I wouldnt want to be the first to try it,lol. I'm sure its gonna be glitchy at first but the promiss of way better gas mileage and actually seeing a bit of a jump in hp/tq when the eletric motor is running tandem with the gas one for acceleration.

Junk for now, I'm just saying I think once this gets developed more and perfected this could be promissing. Imagine burning a good bit less gas during normal driving, way less in city, and not having to give up performance. I'm sure its gonna suck at first, but think of the possibilities

didnt read into it but i gaurentee it works no different then a 1 - wire race altenator..
so in that essance.. that would actually be bad for a street car because at lower RPM the altenator is not charging like it should.
