My New best time!

Well Sat night we went the track. I've recently added the 50shot so I wanted to see what she would do. I'm running street radial sumitoma's so I knew my times were gonna be slow, but my MPH is Extremely high for what I ran.
My best all night as a 13.52 @ 110.72mph with a 2.3 60ft
I launch at about 1500 RPM and half throttle all the way through first. Then 2nd I hit the spray and hold to it till I clutch and the end of 3rd. Anyway, if traction wasn't an issue I know I could see 12's but I'm scared of cracking a tranny housing or breaking axles, so I'm a ROLL RACER for now LOL. In fact that night on the way home I raced a camaro that runs 12.6s at 116 from a 40 and put 2 cars on him. DAMN YOU TRACTION!

Yes I did the install myself. It wasn't too bad. My lil bro and I did it. Neither of us had ever messed with nitrous. But we read up and are both pretty good with our hands and figured it out. I'm scared of slicks!! If I break I'm only gonna be happy with that Quaife 6 speed tranny and I can't afford that right now! But one day!

I ran a 13.5 @ 108mph without spray on street tires with a 2.3 60" :P With your trap speed you should be running 12.5! I have stage II axles for sale and BFG Drag Radials! Let me know if your interested. What size pulley and injectors are you running? BTW, nice run.

If you start to wheel hop out of the box...let off...Thats why most of the axles/trans case
break..Wheel hop without getting out of it.

its going to wheel hop less on slicks. stiff sidewall is a lead contributor to wheel hop

id be willing to bet his trap wouldnt fall much because of how late he is having to get into the throttle in 1st

No, your axles would go before your tranny imo. Get some stage II drive shop axles and some nice DR's and you should be alright. Hey, your modded this far, why not go with a racing tranny after it breaks, and you know it will at one time with or without DR's

I have DR's mounted on 17" wheels. Only used one time at the track, about 10 passes. Still look brand new. I also have a set of stage II axles with only 500 miles on them. The drivers side boot has a small tear, has nothing to do with strength of the metals. Boots are cheap and can be replaced. I would let axles and DR's go for a 550+ shipping. Axles alone cost 700 brand new...

you have to remember that he didn't spray in 1st. If he sprays in first on slicks right out of the hole, he'd for sure cut a awesome sub-2.0 60ft. time and trap higher also because of not waiting till 2nd gear.

why is everyone so affraid of cracking the case?
like someone previosly stated if it starts to hop or jerk let out of it completly then slowly roll back on it...

i've ran some 26x10.50x16 MT drag radials with poly tranny mounts and custom poly filled pass motor mount, and have never had wheel hop issues at the track. but i only launch at 3000 riding the clutch i dont dump it thats were wheel hop comes in... i dont even have stage 2 axels (yet) you just gotta ride the clutch to launch you never wanna dump unless its awd imo...

i never used my spray though, but if you think about it theres guys putting down 350-400 so i wouldent think the spray is gonna change things much, especially if its being activated in second and third only...
