View Full Version : Blow through MAF Problems

Well I got my turbo setup up and runing and the car is running really well. Holds a nice 11.6 AFR all the way through the rpm.

But lately its being a PITA. Once up to operating temp the first time you enter PE it dumps fuel. Lets say im in 4th at about 3000 rpms and just give it enough to make 5psi it will give me a 10.4 afr for about 5 or 6 seconds then it instantly jumps back to the 11.6AFR and the engine light comes on. P1001 i think. Maf low performance. But once you reset the codes it doesnt do it again untill the car is shut off. So WTF???

I am on my second MAF. When i got the new one this all went away untill lately.

I thinks that the MAF doesnt like the 220F temps from being blow through.

IAT2 never goes over 125 though.

I would of liked to see the temps when i had the supercharger, post blower - pre intercooler...............must of been insanely hot.

what are your iat's at because before the maf mine is only seeing 110 at max. i have mine setup blow through as well with the maf placed right before the tb, i also am running an fmic.

ya i get up to 220 on a hard pull........but i bet your MAF is AFTER your FMIC. I am just running stock intercooler and the dual pass with a cobra HE. Maybe i need to get a FMIC. I am sure the MAF doesnt like 220 temps.

Yeah, it must be after the IC for sure.

My maf is also blowthru, but I don't have a IC, just the dual pass for now.

I've seen my IAT1 get up to 200* once on 24psi but normally get up to 180*

ouch yah the fmic makes a world of difference for iat1's. the downside is it takes longer to build pr becuase of the added volume.
