Insomnya3AM 07-09-2008, 08:12 PM Hey Guys. I just found this:
http://jalopnik.com/398237/2010-chevy-cruze-shows-off-its-interior
Looks like the Cruze engineers were caught with their pants down. Full interior shots! Looks like it's going to be smooth.
pimpnwink 07-09-2008, 08:15 PM i have mixed feelings about the end of the cobalt eeh i like that interior though.
Perfect.disguise 07-09-2008, 08:16 PM Seen it.
Billig ss/sc 07-09-2008, 08:29 PM As far as the interior goes.... I like.
1BADSS/SC 07-09-2008, 08:31 PM looks like a fucus.....
Pretty good looking interior. :)
RaineMan 07-09-2008, 08:51 PM Just thought I'd share this... it's been a good run Cobalt... just too short.
"General Motors has officially announced that it will produce the upcoming Cobalt replacement, the Chevrolet Cruze, at its Lordstown, Ohio facility. The Cruze will make its worldwide debut at this October’s Paris Motor Show.
The car will hit the European market in the spring of 2009, with U.S. production at the Lordstown plant — where the Cobalt is currently made — beginning in June 2010. Although the Cruze will replace the Cobalt, GM will produce both vehicles for a short time together"

That's too bad... I like the 'balt... but this new car looks like ass.
1BADSS/SC 07-09-2008, 08:56 PM OMG. That thing looks like ASS. What bullshit is that. Looks like the new honda accord, FUGLY. I hope they change its apprearnce before they make it...
Perfect.disguise 07-09-2008, 08:56 PM I guess the SS/SC will end like the Neon SRT-4.
Haha, atleast we will always have the newest body ;}
Billig ss/sc 07-09-2008, 11:33 PM That really sucks there's not going to be a new Cobalt. But at the same time at least that crappy looking thing wont be called a Cobalt haha. I guess overall I'm happy because this means GM wont produce some new Cobalt that looks like hell and is just overall sh*tty. And it's kinda cool to have a car that's ended it's short (yet awesome) production on a really high note.
well i guess my next car won't be a domestic....
BRN169 07-10-2008, 12:25 AM Great, even less space for guages... LOL
afireinside7710 07-10-2008, 12:56 AM i like it alot.
smartmlp 07-10-2008, 03:55 AM GM Needs this car, not for enthusiasts but for the common person. This is their bread and butter, and it could be their last chance to do it right and so far all the pictures are pointing to success. This is reality, their stock is now at $10 a share and with a market cap of 5.85 billion (compared to Toyota's $144 billion) they barely have any money to push them into the next year. Only time will tell what is going to happen, we dont even know if there is going to be a coupe, if anyone here cares about GM's survival they will be rooting for this car, whether or not it has a performance oriented trim.
TSweet88 07-10-2008, 03:59 AM notice the e-brake tho...

Wow I don't understand why GM would discontinue the Cobalt instead of just redesigning it:bye:. I mean, I understand why they replaced the cavalier with the Cobalt because the Cavalier had a certain bad image to it for consumers. The Cobalt hasn't had a bad image and I think redesigning it would have been best.
IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DONT FIX IT:lol:

I believe the main reason why they are discontinuing the cobalt is that its replacement is going to be a global car sold all over the world, as opposed to the cobalt that's a NA only car. This is the first time that GM has sold a car with the same name all over the world.
Blainestang 07-10-2008, 05:53 PM I can't really say whether I like the CAR or not from those pictures, but the NAME "Cruze" is garbage.
It just has an unintelligent, cheap (and I don't mean inexpensive) connotation to it, given the spelling.
Maybe it's just me, but as far as names go, Cobalt > Cruze.

Cobalt = radioactive element on the periodic table
Cruze = homoerotic trip to the gay porno shop
chris88z24 07-10-2008, 07:11 PM I will refrain from stating my opinion until I see a 2 door/SS-equivalent model. :)

Wild Balt 07-10-2008, 07:20 PM If they were aiming to make an impressive global model, why did they ditch the Opel Astra based car for a Daewoo Lacetti based one?
DeftonesFan867 07-10-2008, 07:22 PM Bunch of titty babies here I swear.
"ZOMG!!1! It's looks like ASS!!!"
None of you have seen production photos yet, just camoed versions and yet you already know what the car is going to look like...wow...wish I had a crystal ball too...
Sythen1678 07-10-2008, 07:26 PM I feel like it looks like a scion from the front...

Nighthawk243 07-20-2008, 06:12 AM how come nobody has tried to photoshop one of these into a solid color??
Its rather difficult to do it and still make it look remotely realistic. The camouflage is rather flat.
