I have a Cobalt SS/SC in silver. My rims are the stock polished ones(the better stock ones). I am ordering a projector kit for my headlights, and planning on putting nightshade on everything in the back. Probably gonna take off my front plate and put it in my window in case I get pulled over/ put it away when I know theres no cops around. I have the highrise spoiler (considering going wingless), I'm just saying all this beacuse I want to give a good idea of the look I'm trying for. I want a little something else and my friend suggested maybe blue underglow and possibly some blue led's in my door-light and in the footwells. I told him that'd probably look too rice, I just want to get someone else's opinion before I dismiss it completly. I personally think it'd look ok, I'd just be a little self-concious of people thinking its too rice. Which is where your opinions come in, feel free to add any comment or opinion you want, if you dont think I should do it, what else would look good? I'm open to suggestions, thanks.

Underglow is okay but dont do lights in the foot wells and doors!!!

I have mixed opinion on these.. I don't know if it's just the cars they are usually on are rice, or these make them rice. I had white underglow on my red 2.2 when I had it, and i actually liked it.

I'm not a massive fan of the under-glows, but if you like it go for it. I mean, a lot of people don't like neons on the inside of their cars... personally i love them.

I think you black cobalt would look deadly with a dead under glow... I personally think underglow is kinda cool. Just DO NOT have you bulbs showing otherwise it looks foolish.

lol, yeah the door thing was the sleep talkin,lol. I been pretty busy lately. But yeah If I got underglow I wouldnt turn it on while driving. Well I shouldnt say never, I could see myself doing it a time or 2 at some point but thats not the idea. It'd mainly be to just add a little bit of flash when I'm parked occasinally if the time/place suits it. Like maybe at a meet, or something, still on the fence about it. One thing I'm sure of is my projectors and hids are being ordered tomorrow, should be in week after next and getting installed before I go on leave 2 weeks from tomorrow. My 6.5" dvd deck is getting put in sometime next week when the wiring harness comes in. I feel like I need soemthing else though,lol. Think nightshades will look good on the tailights, markers and breaklights? I want to lower my car but my driveway is shit, my front lip allready scrapes when I pull in. Gonna have to fix that before I lower it, maybe this fall...

Except I'm getting projectors for the front, and still have the high-rise spoiler and am not de-badged. Also, I dont have yellow'ish fog light like yours. I'm thinking about going wingless though, unsure. I'm also reminded of the random palm sized dent behind the driver side door I notice on my car about a month ago. Not scratched at all so I'm probably just gonna get one of those suction cup dent puller kits at canadian tire. Definatly like the nightshades on the read though, your look is very similar to what I'm going for. BTW with nightshades do you take the lights off and do the inside, or just tape around the edges to protect the paint and spray the outside? I'm sure it'll say on the bottle but I midas well ask while I'm allready posting. Plus to say mine is different that yours in another way, I have the gmpp exaust, and you have the megan racing one. I'm also thinking about debadging the cobalt part and just leaving the SS and the supercharged badges, unsure on that one aswell. Still considering underglow but the more I think about it the more rice it sounds, but I dunno, I still think it would look pretty good in the right time/place.

its really not hard to take off tail lights.. i've done it so many times

silver wingless and blacked out looks sick espically lowered(my look for a very long time:twothumbs) with black headlights... if you do the nightshades, touch up the rear lower grills with some nice black paint too and a black front bowtie

Still deciding on wingless or not, thinking also about debadging the cobalt emblem and leaving the SS and supercharged on. I'm pretty much decided on getting the nightshades for the rear, not gonna do the front beacuse I think the black halo projectors w/8000k HIDs are gonna look fine on their own. I've seen lots of pics mof people with underglow, just trying to visualise blue or white underglow on a silver ss/sc, if anyone has a silver ss/sc with underglow please post pics. I'm going back home for block leave in 2 weeks from today and I want my car to really stand-out when I go visit my buddies that I havent seen in a long while.

The projector/hids are on rush and may or may not be on in time, trying to see if the shop can have me pay extra shipping to get it there sooner, right now the parts/install are pre-paid. I have a clarion 6.5" toutch-screen dvd player going in on tuesday. I'm considering both underglow, and a viper car alarm aswell, both are in stock in the store and have 0 wait time to be installed if I want them. Nightshades I want to try and find local, if not I'll have them ship it on a rush, that one I'll do myself cuz its simple, lol. Probably gonna hack-up my airbox sometime and I'm buying a progress rear swaybar tomorrow from a local guy and he's helping me put it on. If anyone has any suggestions for what I should do to my car lemme know. 2 weeks doesnt leave me much time to order in anythign big though. This shop is giving me (special for army) 0% financing for 36 months on orders over 1k, comes off my pay, and thats how I got the projectors/hids.

August/september I'll be going for round 2 and doing the performance side. Plan for now is cross-drilled rotors w/hawk pads up front and braided lines all-around, and a strut-bar. I'm also thinkin about getting hptuners and a devil's own meth kit from ottperformance, but that depends if I can get help on the tuning side from anyone near me. BTW with hptuners can you send a file with a tune saved over e-mail? That way I could "borrow" someone's tune and then just have to tweak it myself?

Well since your getting black halo projectors and blacking out tail lights. What generation projectors are you getting? IMO i think it would be better to get the ultra white underglow because blue simply wouldn't match the theme you seem to be going for and white would match the color of your halos. Also get a LED dome light and licence plate light and your all set. Hell just spend the extra money and get the million color kit and just change it to anything you want. :twothumbs

Yeah, I had never considered white until it was mentioned and now that I think about it, I think it could look great on it. My biggest worry right now is that my projectors wont be in in time. BTW the projectors are the black halo ones from anzo, and I got the prosport 8000k HID kit. Both of these are supposed to be a 15 day order and I have 14 days before I leave,lol. They said they're putting a rush on it and I'm gonna go to the shop tomorrow to ask if the 15 day is due to a backorder or due to shipping time, cuz if I can just pay extra to ups it that'd be sweet. After this I dont go home again until christmas and thats not really a good time of year to cruise around and show off my new mods to my friends,lol.
