For about 2 more years then I should be able to afford a supercharged Viper. Also depends if I win the lottery or not.

The Cobalt will never be a traditional 'classic'

Well, for me it really depends on school and how it pans out. If I do the Nutrition Masters program then I will probably have my Cobalt for about six more years. If I go to medical school, I will definately have my Cobalt for about eight more years. Unless something radical happens between now and then, that is my timeline.

Well i want to keep mine forever, because it is my first NEW car, and the first car that is in my name.
But i have a feeling that when the camaro comes out, that i will trade it in.

Mines gone as soon as I can trade in. I'm getting either the new Camaro or a Duramax.

proably 4 years or less.

A new Camaro could sway me as could a Turbo Cobalt. Or maybe I'll get a Hahn Turbo for it after the warrnty expires

I had planned on keeping my Cobalt SS , and with all the mods Im doing to it ....just buying it at the lease end . I really like it alot . But , GM sealed my Cobalts fate with the new Camaro . Before I got to a point I was really making good money and could have 2 cars , a F-body was my only car . I really miss driving one on a daily basis , my current Camaro Im building and my last Trans Am were/are pretty much drag cars , they go on the street to cruise and have fun in my free time and sit the rest of the time .

The best of both worlds would be , being able to payoff my Cobalt and buy a new Camaro . Somehow I dont think thats gonna happen . I also didnt expect to like my SS as much as I do , I think I like it more now , 8 months after I bought it than the day I drove it home .

I'll probably keep it 6-7 years. The dodge challenger looks amazing.. I don't know where I'll go after the Cobalt. It's my entry into big hp.

i think i will eventually trade mine in for a new cobalt. i wish i had gotten the 2.4L cause it has the same fuel economy as the 2.2 and yet more hp but i had experience with the 2.2L so i chose it instead.
Just have to wait to see what they bring out. I like these pursuits that the canadians have.

I went with 4-6. In reality, I'll probably keep it until it's no longer feasible, meaning until it starts creating repair bills. I'd like to have it for a while after it's paid off, just so I can go without a payment for a while.

SuperCharged exitement

I'll keep it for 8-10 tens years as long as it holds up(2.0 loaded). Mine hasn't seen 80+ yet (700 miles), but I have pushed 2 gears hard a few times. Heck it will take me 4-5 years to pay off & that long to afford all my add-ons (perf & design).
I haven't loved a body style like this in a while. I mean a body style that is affordable.
