So i bought there sedan trunk off the sema car. Looked 100% as described. Went to install it, dosnt even fit. Its aligned perfectly but the holes for the latch wernt even drilled, when i drilled them the latch dosent even fit all the way so when i try and close it it wont latch up...I have no idea how they had it on there sema car if they never drilled any holes...wow. Im out 375$.

Oh and the 3rd breaklight dosent fit...it goes in but no where near flush like oem...any rain and my car is a pool.

That sucks, maybe they didn't drill holes because they kept it open all the time to show off their audio setup?

They jsut keep saying provide pics. I do not have the time to go and dismantle my whole trunk and swap it and reinstall everything just for it to not fit and un install and do it over. I do not have a shop nor the skills to re-work CF. They had it closed on there sedan...so this may be a different trunk that dosnt fit and they knew that i dunno im extremely pissed off...

You bought the trunk off our ebay site and before you purchased it professional installation was suggested to you. We have sold enough of these trunks with literally 0 complaints that we did ask for pictures, multiple times, to assist you in installation, we even offered to help find you some one local that could do it. When you asked us to return it we agreed and responded with the address to ship it back to and some helpful suggestions for shipping. We aren't charging a restocking fee either.

BTW I'm pretty sure you were told, in advance, that trimming for the latch, lights, etc was necessary. Because I didn't personally tell you this I'm not 100% sure.

You were totally uncooperative on your end and we are still not hassling you about returning it.

What more do you want?

Unture...never recieved any of this..unless it was sent in the last 5 mins after i logged on. I make a thread, and now they say its ok to ship back... Never once was i told about trimming, i have been nothing but honest with this whole thing. I purchased this as it was advertised to have been installed on the sema car...stupid me for thinking you guys would litterly install it by drilling the holes for the latch and breaklight instead of just haveing it rest on the back of the car......

Please send the trunk back to the address below. Make sure it is fully insured and packaged well as you are still responsible for the trunk until we inspect it and it is in saleable condition. You will want to use a carrier like UPS or FedEx for their insurance and traceability.

Gravana, INC.

21182 Centre Pointe Pkwy Ste 110

Santa Clarita, CA 91350

Thanks,
Chad

You were sent the email to return it LONG before I saw this post. You were never denied a return on the basis of not providing pics. As there wasn't a fitment issue you were never asked to reinstall the trunk. Simple pics of the issues only you have had were asked for.

Thanks man, I do my best here and I feel I've really changed the direction Gravana is going. This is no knock to the OP, as we have reached a resolution, but you can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time and still stay in business for very long.

Notice how much thinner stock trunk is? This is the reason the latch will not fit on the CF as its WAY to think and would cost more then its worth to fix this flaw. Its the same for the break light.. Also all the marks on the CF is the tape residue left over from all the tape they had on the damn thing.

I've delt with chad and never EVER had a single problem! In fact when my rims came in missing a couple center caps he ordered me a whole new set FREE of charge! Then when UPS screwed up the shipping label he OREDED ME ANOTHER NEW SET!!!!! Again FREE OF CHARGE! Thier customer service to me is AWESOME! If Chad says they tried to help you then I believe him. Maybe you were just a tad pissed off that it didn't just drop right on like a factory part would. They recomended professional instalation, did you get any? Doesn't sound like your getting shafted man, it sounds like Chad is doing everything he can to help you out. Seriously what more do you want?

ok personally ive had nothing but GOOD experiance with gravana and there employees.. shit ive even been to the track with chad and his SEMZ cavi that had an M62 on it..(yes he lost to the IRL) but as far as YOU buying a SEMA trunk lid would you have thought that maybe since it IS a SEMA part that MAYBE jus MAYBE it would take alittle fabrication/customization cause 99% of all SEMA is custom work.. hence the name.. jus my .2cent's

mkulrey13
07-18-2008, 04:32 PM
i dont have a problem with chad or gravana...I just want my money back for a poorly made trunk. It will cost to much to fix the latch problem let alone the 3rd breaklight fitmit issues. As said before the latch are is WAY to thick which prevents the latch to come through all the way and any thinner it will jsut crack when you shut the trunk..It just upsets me that i am not getting a refund on return shipping on a product that would cost the same to fix for the price i paid for it. i'd much rather buy new then for a good fit

No kidding and with insurance it's worse. He may not to out the $300 some odd dollars, but it's still gunna be a good chunk of change.

After reading all the horror stories regarding fitment with aftermarket hoods, i've strayed far far away from them.

I honestly don't feel it's Gravana's/ Chad's/ Mike's fault... it's like he said, it's the damn trunk lid.
