k&n cone filter

k&n cone filter

hey just wondering if anyone can help me, im wanting to take the bottom of the air filter box off and leave it off and replace the filter with the k&n cone filter, but how do i get it to stay in there? just that screw in the side like some of the threads say, or what else do i have to do? thanks

Here is one (High flow) that will fit 100% in the stock airbox with the lower cover in place and it's specifically for the 2005-2006 Cobalt SS/SC :

Here is another one (High flow conical) that fit too, but without the lower lid and you'll have to do a little hole to screw the collar that will held the filter in place :

ur better off spending the money for the k&n typoon cai it will be alot better! cause if ur going that far with it....by taking the whole thing off ...it better to just to go all the way trust me! i put the k&n typoon from modern performacne spent $224

The CAI is better over swapping just the filter only if you want more blower whine and a better look.
