Tuner needed near East Tennessee

Hey guys, I've pretty much have all my supporting mods. Full Exhaust, CAI, TB, Dual pass, CX HEX, Wideband, a set of 60lb injectors and 2.9" pulley. I just need a tuner. Anyone know anybody around here?

with a 2.9 h/e and dual pass is enough cooling mods. Meth is great but not needed unless he wants to pull more timing.

meth is always needed mate =D. Meth is great for keeping the engine cooler and adding more hp.

Is he going to ruin anything by not having it, nah, but he can gain an easy 15whp if he had it =D.

yup yup, its not required by any means for his setup, but it would help slightly. Just trying to give some helpful insight is all.

Check out uslsja.com. there is a section for DSLSJA all of the members are in the western NC or eastern TN area. The tuners are located in charlotte. They will be glad to help you with what you need.
By the way I live in sevierville. Well I am in Iraq right now but soon I will be home.

WTF where did all these tennessee valley people come from? 2 in one thread? zomg!

Are you using HPtuners?

There are plenty of local HPtuners but they mostly do LSX cars, but they might be able to do yours. Id post over at highperformancetoys.com or streetcarforums.com knoxville section.

If you want to try your bolt out after the tune, let me know.

Yep meth is great but this is going to be my daily beater. I'm not babying it in the least bit. I'm doing sound and engine mods and thats it. I don't really want to worry about anything else but oil changes and maybe a new clutch down the road. I'm looking for a conservative tune for good mileage and good power, not to worried about leaving power on the table. Anyway, thanks for the insight. Charlotte is a bit closer then Memphis. Of course I couldn't drive out there with the pulley, TB, or injectors installed, do either of them do installations? How's the work and rates?

Mike. I haven't met him personally yet but I know a guy that knows him pretty well. I buy a lot through Performance Products over off of Callahan, and they referred me to him. But, like I say, he tunes w/ EFI Live, not HP Tuners. I've heard some people say EFI Live can do a little more than HP, but also others who say HP is the better way to go. I guess it just comes down to personal preference among people who do the tuning

LOL can't wait to get you setup man. I know Sunday is not far off but feels like it is taking forever.

Anyone else looking for a tune is more than welcome to come to Charlotte. Even help with install if needed.

no **** man, i've heard a lot of good things about these guys over in Charlotte. I'd rather haul over there and use up some diesel gettin there, and have my car run strong, and correctly. I'm goin to Charlotte. I'll let ya know how it turns out!

ok well i'm back, and i'm tuned. all I can say is, I love it. SCBLKRL and MrPhoto... I dont know if he's on css.net or not, but SCBLKRL is. Anyway, they are the two who did my tune today. They went as far as they could with it. We ran into some problems w/ the injectors, so i'm gonna have to up to 60's. Lookin like i'm gonna have a brand freakin new set of 42's for sale. Anyway, even though they had to hold off a little bit due to the injector duty cycle, the car still runs like a badass. I love it. Super nice guys and really easy to work with. Definately worth talkin to them to see what they could do for you!

Glad to see you made it back. Even better to know your loving it. Always what I like to hear and strive for.

Yea little problems with the injectors getting maxed out with that pulley but nothing bad. Back in line but still should look at 60s at somepoint if you want to go further with it.

It was definitely running strong when you left.

NGHISUS - I see a pm from you. I'll get to that shortly and pm you back.

the car actually runs stronger here than it did there. I was rather surprised, but it does. AF ratios are still lookin good. Car is loud as hell, but hopefully RavenSS will get that downpipe to me soon so I can get that cleared up. I'm gonna work on gettin 60's, maybe downsize to a 2.7, meth injection, and a heat exchanger setup. That way I can get a little more power out of it and cool it down a good bit.
