SS vs. 5.7l GTO

This was at the track the other night. I seem to have lost the slip, but it was something like me 13.6 at 109 to him 14.3 at 100. Anyway just wanted to share.

With the spray, when I shift into a second is when I start spraying hence the slow motion roll off the lights!

Nice kill man. And the 14 flat from the GTO is pretty slow, they're more like mid 13 second cars. Either way, you ran pretty damn good.

Well depending on if it was auto or manual...W/ the LS1 there nothing more then a heavy fbody w/ a nicer interior and irs...Ive seen the 04's run low to mid 13's stock but a good portion run in the upper 13's .

Your a hell of a bench racer, I notice that in all your posts...Just like your car runs dam near 12's w/ no slips and its just as fast as a LS2 GTO...I would love to see you hang in the upper rpms w/ a ls2 w/ a mid pipe, cai & can tune.

What the hell are you talking about? Me and one of the GTO owners on here discussed this the other day. Because I always believed the LS1 GTO's were high 13 second cars, but with his proof and timeslips and what not I have realized that they run around the mid 13 second range. And dont get me started on my car again. I never once said I could go out and run a 12 second 1/4 mile time, but I have stated over and over that there are guys with the same mods as me, hell some have just the intake and tune without the exhaust and have ran 12's. And LS2 GTO's have gone what, 12.8-12.9 stock, with the average in the 13.1-13.2 range? I never said all intake/tune 05+ GT's would do it, but there have been plenty to run in the low 13 second range and some in the 12's with just those 2 mods. And I know after a 1/4 the LS2 would pull on me, its a freaking LS2 for christ sake.
