Stage 2 at the 1/4 Track

Couple of runs from the test and tune on Saturday... This was my 2nd time out at the track.

First time out (in May) my best was 14.4 with a 2.6 60' @ 102 MPH

This time it was a 14.6 with a 2.3 60' @ 98 MPH

So I'm getting better at launching, still need some improvement.

Strange huh? Those are some nice stock times

800 FT but if you do the density altitude caluclation for the day it comes out to way more than that. But i'm not blaming that.. I'm curious what people will say

Man, you must have been hitting some really, really awful air. Box stock, my SC ran a 14.8@96mph on a cool night.

Your first time of 14.4 with a 2.6 60' would have been a high 13.XX if you had a 2.3 60' . And the 4mph drop in Trap Speed equals about a 25-30 loss in hp.

Like I said, must have been some really, really bad air!

**I just watched the vids - you didn't even get rubber out of 2nd gear. What gives bro?**
**My tires spin so freakin hard at the 2nd gear shift I almost experience wheelhop!**

Well this run was in May, it was 58 degrees outside...

On Saturday it was 86 degrees and my supercharger was super hot to the touch. I'm thinking I was massively heat soaked. And my tires also spin quite a bit going into 2nd normally, but they didn't on Saturday....

Stage 2 cars should be in the 13's easily.. Put a bag of ice on the SC to cool it off, and if you can let it sit for an hour between runs (this will REALLY help with heat soak).

I actually did do the ice thing during the break around noon. So the car sat for an hour, with the ice on, and the supercharger was cool. And that was when i did the 14.6 run but the clutch slipped very hard in 2nd..... and after that it was heat soaked again.

Same thing happened in May, my first run was the fastest and i slowly lost et and MPH...

So it seems like my setup is good for 1 run at a time

Time for a CX Heat Exchanger..

^That's cool (pun intended!). LOL

Yeah, 86 is wayyy different than 58 degrees. It's a whole 'nother world.

And I just wanted to say say kudos to you man, for putting up a thread where you ran slower than your previous time.

Not many guys would be man enough to do something like that.

Just make sure to keep us posted on any future runs with your car!
