Plugged Silencer Holes...

Well, I absolutly love the whine of the supercharger. Now I am in contact with Eaton to find out the best way to plug them and what the effects will be.

I just wanted to throw this poll out these to see who has tryed this and how it has worked.

You can find the thread on here on how to plug the silencer holes... If you pull up the s-charger it is the 2 diagonal slots (about a half in wide or so) under the blower... Ive heard of people using jb weld or quik silver... and non of the cheap off brands... I have never done it, but thats what ive read... Its seemed to work and made it very noticeably louder, but you always have the haters saying somethings gonna go wrong

:::Check Modifying eaton superchargers sticky:::

Its not easy to miss...

Yeah I have seen the how-to but I am wondering how many have actually done it and how many have had problems. I have YET to hear of someone having a problem directly related to doing this.

And i believe your right... The only thing bad i have heard is that the possibility of the heat cycles (heating then cooling) will damage the artificial weld to the point where they could drop into the engine below... although it has been said that the peices wont make it into any part of the engine it could damage if you catch it in time...

Im selecting letter E... I dont have the mod done but im too lazy / under educated to do it

its doen to my and my brothers car... we both love it. the car screams. i dont get on the gas that often so mine will never have problems but my brother has a problem with his right foot. if he isnt in boost he thinks something is wrong, and he hasnt had a problem either. so i dont see why anyone wouldnt do it unless they hate the sc sound

So far it seems so good schamsy.... If you keep looking your probly going to find someone with a problem... If no one on here, including me, havent badgered you already with what the problem could be, if there is one, it wont be major..

It is sad that I am the originator of this idea on this website and I have yet to do it. Maybe one day.

Me. Mine fell out.

Stuck in my intake manifold somewhere, not that it bothers me much.

How long did it take for them to fall out?

I'm not sure to be honest. I went almost a full year without taking the blower back off to check on them.

When I did pull it off, they were mia.

Like I said, it doesn't bother me much because I know they can't make it past the laminova cores anyway.

I want to do it so so bad, but I don't want to have to worry about them falling off. I have the quiksteel ready and I even bought an extra tube to play around with and test the strength of the stuff.
