Your favorite Chicago dealer/service dept.?
Your favorite Chicago dealer/service dept.?
I did a quick search but only found one reference to Lattof Chevrolet.
So who is your favorite dealer and/or service department? I've personally modded many brands of new cars over the years, and found a wide range of responses from service department people. Ive found that some dealers employ gearheads who are interested in mods, and some just tow the company line of no mods allowed. I've seen dealerships welcome a car (for warranty work) with a full list of suspension, ECU, and engine mods, and I've had another car denied warranty work because the tire size varied from the stock size by 10mm. (BTW, that same car got a wheel bearing replaced at another dealer on the way home from an all day track event, with my matching helmet sitting on the passenger seat! Not a Chevy though...)
My soon-to-be-purchased 2009 SS sedan will of course be getting tweaked after I fully put the car through it's paces at a few autocrosses and track days.
I'm just wondering what local dealers are more mod-friendly.

my local Chevy dealer, luc bachorot is good, i have a modded cobalt and they even fixed my AC on goodwill AFTER my warranty was up. They mentioned something about mods once, but nothing tht affected me.
Pete @ Sunrise Chevrolet in Midlothian.
great dude and he had the first engine replaced on my modded cobalt under warranty. at the time i had the injen intake corsa cat-back and it was blacked out and debaged. i over-revved the engine on my 2.2 auto and they dropped me a new engine after the bottom end blew out the bitch, lol.

i stick with sunrise chevy in midlothian for my dealer needs. the service department really does care about how you feel about their work. i do my own repairs when i can now cause monies tight but when the comp crashed i took it to them and they hooked it up. oh yeah their not scared of nitrous either. definite plus in my book. i hate when techs see the juice and get to scared to work on the ride.
