how much should i sell the stock tc rims for???
how much should i sell the stock tc rims for???
when i get my tc cobalt im planning on selling the rims how much should i sell them for???? they will probably have like 200 miles on them when i take them off of my car
I am leaving mine stock as well. I don't exactly like the styling of the rims. They are not ugly but not hawt either. But rims and tires are SO expensive these days. I honestly am going to spend what few dollars I will have in the next year or so on engine mods and maybe interior stuff.
And pls tell me no one is putting chrome rims on their new TC? Am I only one who thinks ANY chrome rim would look horrible on a 08/08 SS?

If I had to choose an aftermarket style to put on my car, it would have looked very much like the stock wheel for the 08.
The dealer prices are always very high. Price any stock aluminum wheel for any car and you'll probably be shocked. Just to give an example on pricing and used wheels, on my SRT-4 the list at the dealer used to be something close to $400 a wheel. They are a pretty narrow 17x6 wheel but fit my older turbo Dodges okay and come with decent BF-G tires so I bought a lot of take-off's when the cars were new. I think I picked up four tire/wheel combo sets and paid between $350-400 (most with nearly new tires).
The stock wheels on the SS are a nice wheel and have a decent set of tire but some people just aren't going to like the looks or want to add an individualistic touch to their cars. My guess is that they'll start showing up for sale a lot more often next year when the '09s are out and more new SS's start hitting the roads. I'd throw out a guesstimate that you might be able to get $500-600 a set down the road but right now including the tires maybe a little higher. You can do some research on places like craigslist or eBay to get an idea of what factory take-offs go for, but it all depends on what the market is willing to pay. If you don't want to come up with a number on your own the easiest way to figure that out might be to throw them up on an auction site and see what they'll fetch.

I don't think so. The stock wheels below 08 are fugly. The 08s fit the car very nicely. I think it will be a long long time before they flood the market. A slow trickle is probably more like it.

They're awful. I mean, what was Chevy thinking?
They look like they were designed by a child using toothpicks ... no meat to them at all (similar to the miserable frail styling of the MS3 wheels).
So supermantxz24, get rid of those skinny looking wheels and get a set of the 05-07 wheels.
And definitely get the polished one's like on my car.
One of the only things I DON'T like on the 08's is those horribly freakish wheels.
