yay! way to have AEM enter the market 4 months late. It would be funny to see the gains be even higher then most like Fujita, K&N & Injen.

Injen has a great design and it will be hard to beat, considering they did use the MR-Technology when designing it.

AEM is a good intake also, just have to wait and see

at least snap some pictures of it, even if it's off the car, I will most likely buy this intake if it does not a throw a CEL. the price is reasonable.

I currently have a K&N and I am tired of these Check Engine Lights. For $189+ship that doesn't sound too bad. I might have to invest.

your likely to see the same thing on an AEM one too. (Check Engine Light) We are just talking about a non-lubricated filter and same piping diameter.

I wanna see where this one stacks up as far as gains are concerned compared to the Injen one. Should be similar but I want to make sure before I throw my money into it.

the reason CEL's are coming on isn't necessarily due to a wet or dry filter. it is the location of the mass airflow sensor. on the Injen intake, the area where the MAS is located has wider piping which reduces the turbulence in the air and gives a better reading. this allows the sensor to adequately monitor the incoming air. i believe that in other applications (K&N and the like), the air going by the sensor is more turbulent which makes it more difficult for it to read incoming air which in turn throws the CEL.

AEM makes killer intakes.... hmm, if I can see pics, I'd love to purchase one. I have the JBP intake currently, but they seem to be taking forever to come out with the other one. when is this available?

This is true. Installed my Injen and check my Fuel trim reading on the Tech 2 under the conditions that would set a DTC p0171 and the % were less then 10%. 600 miles and no CEL, how many others with Injens set CEL's? Not many. Injen took longer to get to the market, most likely because they were doing their homework. I assume AEM has done the same.

if that were true then no one should be throwing codes with the injen, and summarilly no one with just a filter should either, but it happens.....I think the programming is just too restrictive or the injectors are just running to high of a duty cycle. Have you datalogged the injector duty on the tech2?
