I could care less if I get banned for this but at somepoint SOMEONE has to stick up for us Cannucks to the north............i don't agree with your marketplace rules and policy......................I don't see why EVERY THREAD that has something F/S has to be posted in the "marketplace"........some of us could care less to ship **** across the boarder and have to go thru paypal fee's ect ect............should we not have the ability to advertise it to fellow Cannucks only and pending no sale, THEN if we so choose we can post it in the marketplace?? It all comes down to simple sales, if you want something sold you advertise it wherever the most ppl will see it, but, if you don't want to ship it across the boarder and would rather meet locally........where will u advertise that as many local ppl with a cobalt will see it??? Will it get ANYWHERE NEAR the amount of views as here?? No, not even close.........If we were aloud to post F/S threads in the Regional sections that are local to us then maybe we wouldn't have to ship so much ****......cmon, level with me here, NOBODY wants to ship something if someone else will buy it locally......why not give us a better chance to sell **** locally??


P.S. I won't accept the bullshit routine about it being easier to keep things "organized" on the forum, if someone wants a local sale ONLY then they should be aloud to post it up in their local regional section.

lol this is going to get locked...but the easiest way to overcome this...would be to make a for sale thread in the marketplace stating that it is a local sale only..then put a link to said forsale thread in your sig..which in turn people in your local area will see even if you havent posted lately as your sig updates on all posts you have made. cheers

 

the marketplace is there for a reason, CSS dosnt have to let u sell anything, many forums dont.

I think as most ppl here bitch about, u MUST put **** in the proper section.........i'd say this is the PERFECT section for this thread and no I don't need to PM anyone about this as it should be a public issue that everyone can post their opinions about. This doesn't only apply to Canadians, this gives ppl in the US local sections a chance to advertise things locally FIRST before going to the full forum marketplace which i have heard is a major PITA to deal with, i'm not the only one who does not like the marketplace here and know it could be changed for the betterment of EVERYONE.

i don't see the problem with saying : FS Local Pickup ONly CANADA. that pretty much solves the problem.

most people then put a link in their signature. make it big even, so everyone can see it. yes, it makes it easier, because if someone is looking for what you're selling, they're going to look in the classifieds, not in the regional forums.

not many ppl have the time to pour thru 10 pages of F/S threads to find what their looking for, esspecially since NOBODY wants to ship or recieve anything from over the boarder if at all possible........this would clean up our ability to find LOCAL PARTS instead of dealing with lame ass shipping companies who lose ****, break ****, and take for damned ever to process things......nevermind the retarded "duty/boarder fees"

 

if you have a legit idea, this is certainly not the way to go about it. next time, stop actking like a little kid, make an educated post, and see where it goes.

i personally have never had any positive luck with search tools within forum sites, they are way too vague and when u try and be specific it's too specific and u miss things
