GM will be investing $500 million dollars in small car development and production with $350 million of those monies being spent at the Lordstown Assembly plant. Wagoner stated production will begin in April 2010, with Cobalt/G5 production either ending then, or concurrent production continuing, dependant upon demand.

The Governor did make an offer in his speech to double the benefits from the state if they could get another vehicle commitment today. Thought they were angling for a Volt commitment.

I like what I see/read so far. Was very impressed with the Lordstown facility and glad they got the greenlight to build. Shows GREAT potential to evolve in numerous directions. Versatile.

I don't like the lines at all. Especially the curved line running up the front bumper to the fender, and the grill front reminds me of a pig snout. Even a 2 door 400 hp version would not interest me. Just ugly.

Not in the immediate future, if ever. GM states a few times how happy they are in the fact that they could fit 4 doors in a coupe like desighn. So i wouldnt hold my breath.

Very disappointing. No coupe is a deal breaker. I think I'll go buy that 03 Mustang Cobra I saw sitting down the road from my work.

How do you figure that? You could make like a 2 door aveo and with full interior it could meet or beat the 2500lbs mark with the lnf type engine and awd.

People like all wheel drive because it works. Traction is no issue and no need for drag radials or slicks. Every platform has there down fall, but in drag racing you can't get much better than a turbo awd out of the box. At least when you are talking 4cyl cars.
