Power steering

So I have 42K miles on my 07 SS/SC and just last week the power steering has been quiting. Just driving down the road and *ding ding ding* and the DIC says power steering. Cycle the key and it works again. Now its starting to get more frequent 3 times today it has done it. I guess its dying. Luckily I know all the techs at the dealer and the Service manager likes me. I'll probably be able to get it done under warranty or at least at employee price. Sucks that its is fudged up already.

thats weird you should see if it can be replaced with an HHR set up...thats what the race teams do so theres no chance of failure

haha I'm gonna drive the wheels off of it. 81 miles a day round trip for work, two trips from Fl to Pa and back, plus its not uncommon for me to do 300+ miles on a weekend.

I wish it was something like that but I don't have an interceptor.

well got the power steering unit replaced today. Only cost me 75 bucks. That sure hell beats the 700 I would have to paid if I didn't know anyone at the dealer.
