Another "What shoud my next mod be" thread....

Hey guys,
So for those of you who don't know I got rear ended by a Civic 2 weeks ago and I've been without my 'balt for like a week so far and I won't be getting it back until Sept 12th (20 days, ugh). So I've been goign through major Cobalt withdraw because I haven't had anything fun/fast to drive in forever and I still have a ways to go.

But anyway, I was thinking about maybe getting a new goodie performance-wise when I get the 'balt back. My mods are in the sig (Stage 2, 2.9, intake, full exhaust). One of my thoughts is maybe getting a 2.7, 60bs, and meth. Let me know what you guys think. Don't really want to spend more than $500-$600 on the parts. Also, add why you think that part.
Thanks!

Why would you say a h/e? I know obvious reasons, but what kind of performance impacts other than cooling do they have? It is my other major choice other than 2.7/60s/meth because it's a good mod to build on for future stuff.

a heat exchanger won't give you direct HP, but it cools the charge air quite a bit more, and keeps from heat soaking, if you get meth, but not an upgraded H/E, you may still heat soak, and the meth won't be doing as much as it could. your power would be much more consistent.

Wow, looks like for once Jimmy is on the ball haha (jk man). Okay so it's looking like h/e might be next. What's a good brand/price? I am willing to pay a little more for a product that is better.

i would personally reccomend a CX racing one, easy to find on e-bay. look at the how to section to see what size the other guys picked up. it's a great step towards future mods because it will allow you to run that 2.7 fairly safely.

^^Yea the one I'm looking at is CX Racing. I'd buy it now but I don't wanna just buy it and have it be the wrong size, ya know? This might be the perfect mod right now 'cause they're fairly cheap. Looks like install might be a bitch though...

We make a cx racing h/e kit that is very easy to install and comes with all the hardware you will need only $235 to.

^^Well prior to being rear-ended I had wanted to do this mod (which is lookin like a h/e) about 2 weeks ago or earlier then going and getting a tune a few weeks after that. I'll be away for part of september, but I really want a tune soon, especially if I got 2.7/60s/meth cause you need it haha.
Why do you ask?
