Why does a car with a muffler and an intake even need a wideband?

Just saying.

well not really, sure you can guess a/f when tuning, but i want to get the best/learn well i tune so i can tune other peoples vehicles. simple the wideband is going to help me/and my mentor monitor what i am doing and give me a better understanding on how to tune

i agree, it is kind of pointless, but its more so for teaching purposes then anything.

Widebands are simple to install.

First you need to find out how far off the header the sensor needs to be. If im not mistakin its 12-16 inches.

Now, get your bung welded in place. ($20)

Screw in the sensor.

Run the wires from the wideband underneath the car...use zip ties and zip them down to anything you can use.

Run it to your engine bay.

There is a rubber bung in the firewall. You can see it underneath the steering wheel on the inside...will have wires and **** going through it.

Push it out.

Run the wires from the sensor through it.

Mount your gauge.

Run power / ground / (accessory if needed -- aka another power) to the gauge.

Plug in the sensor.

Done.

I was thinking the same.

However, ive seen people do 'odd'er things...and still accomplish them.

I especially enjoy the threads where i see people saying:

Turbo kit ordered! Im so happy!
then 2 days later
How much work do you think it would be to put on a TVS supercharger?

Ok.....
