Hey guys, right before I broke my tranny :( I was testing out one of our latest and greatest parts. The MRZ crank pulley. Man does my car accelerate quickly now! I thought that it would be hard to improve over my already quick revs, from my lighter flywheel, but it is possible. ALSO, just as the flywheel, I did notice better gas mileage at cruising speeds on the highway as well. :) And since I am a college student and drive just over 150 miles a day, when school is in session, I can use ever mpg that I can get. :lol:

When I got on it I was pinning it against another cobalt with very similar mods to mine and with my flywheel and crank pulley it was just no contest. As soon as he gave the third honk I was off and never stopped pulling away from him. Before, I would only start to walk away up top. As soon as I get my car back on the road I will make the videos that should have accompanied this post. (But I just couldn't wait to write a review) :lol:

sweet man, i'm def. getting a crank pulley, nice to see it has noticeable gains.

150 miles/day!? time to move closer to school! all the money you'll save in gas can go towards rent and booze!

Anyway great review, I'm going to pick one of these up myself.

how much sugar did you have today lol, install on crank pulleys on these cars are very easy

How long have you had it for? I'm kinda intrigued by this, but wondering how durable it is. I would think that if the crank pulleys could be made out of aluminum they would have been from the factory. It's NOT hard to damage the outside of anodized aluminum, contrary to what they say. (I've owned several paintball guns, and that shit was easy to scratch up last I remember)

Also, this just frees up power consumed by the heavier stock one. I am not one for dynos anyways, road tune baby ;). And if I saw how much power I am making it would spark me to go swiping the credit card to just hit 300 or 290 or 280.....

I have had it for about three weeks I think, and also it has only been on the car for a few days. I got the red one, don't know why but I thought it would be kinda cool lol usually I keep things much more conservative. And I was careful when I installed mine so it didn't get too many dings. Going with its durability, I think it will be fine, but still have much more time to experiment with this thought. Once it is on, I don't see it having any problems staying there. :)

I am glad that you guys are interested. Definately hit up MRZ for this quality part. Unfortunately I am unable to get pics of it or the damage of my trans up this week because school starts back up and I am working as many hours as possible up until then to pay for my recent screw up. Hopefully I can get another trans swapped in this upcoming weekend, as long as the rain lets up, and my friend can come over and let me use his camera to put some nice visual aids up. (As well as my damage lol)

yes sir, cash is what I am trying to go for this time. And if everthing goes according to plan, probably not lol, my car will be paid off in Dec! :0 ya so I can spend even more money!
