When i give the car full throttle and shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd there is a clunk noise. It happens when i shift fast and i think it's either the tranny mounts or engine mounts. Does anyone else have this problem. I do have a spec stage 3 clutch and flywheel so i don't know if thats a factor or not. Any help would be awesome. thanx

Anybody???

It is probably the Ingalls Torque Damper making the noise. The Ingalls has been known to give a reading of false knock to the sensor. Check the bolts...

i don't have the damper or mounts, i was wondering if those mods reduce the clanking. I should have worded it better. lol

Ohh haha, yea I thought you had both... Well the mounts will significantly reduce the movement of the engine in the car, soo it should clear up the noise... But I would try and find out if you can what the noise is first to make sure it is not a problem. Try and have someone rev the engine while you are looking and listening in the engine bay.

dunno,

i do know without any mounts if i slam from 1st to 2nd i hear a big CLUNK sound..... so i dont do it. Its only if the engine is under load.

its your mounts. The stock ones are notorious for going early. Especially with aftermarket clutch. My mounts are already gone (mods in sig). I dont drive my car hard at all (seriously) except at the track which ive only gone to 3 or 4 times. Get the TTR tranny mounts for $59. Mine are in the mail :D
