This morning, making a turn onto the main road, my balt got hit. Totally my fault, i still cant beleive i didnt see this guy coming. he was driving a mid 90's ford f250, all he got was a dented in metal bumper and my car....

So its deemed fixable by icbc (insurance) $7900 to fix. There is no frame or subframe damage, all cosmetic, except the rediator.

Im still selling it, its going to cost $5000 to insure the car now, going for something cheaper. But atleast it still has a clean title, not a rebuilt, so i will take a loss but not a huge loss.

Knocks my insurance down by $1600+, and since its only worth peanuts now to sell, its not a big deal if it doesnt have collision on it. So my cobalt gets a whole new repainted front end, which is great because the front end paint was all sand blasted from the previous owner so its going to be a brand new car onces its out!!!

I can't remember whether you mentioned it or not, but if you're still paying on the car you cannot drop insurance below your bank's minimum insurance requirements or they will repo the car. Just keep that in mind.

FINALLY!!, car came home tonight, looks beautiful. Fully detailed inside and out, it supposed to rain tomorow, but ima get some pics. ive missed my car, its been 6 weeks since i got to drive it last.

yup, interior was detailed and shampooed, outside was all detailed, looked like a brand new 08 pulled into my driveway. I beleive the headlights that they replaced are now the headlights from the 08 cobalts, they look different but thats ok i like them.
