I was getting some bad wheel hop at the track, although on the street it just lights em up using the same launch techniques (hard slip from 3k). Its dependant on how much traction if available on the surface you are on & how fast you are applying the power.

Every question you asked could be answered by someone with a 2008 SS

No wheel hop here. Just grabs or spins... depending. But no hop.

I was letting it out too fast for the traction conditions

and the stock TC intercooler is VERY beefy, i cannot imagine that being an issue without some real work.

agreed. from my understanding you won't need to upgrade this unless you go with a bigger turbo and major modifications.

The exhaust sounds awesome stock. Im always very suprised when I open it up...its loud, but not whiney. Ive always gone as loud as possible with aftermarket exhausts on my cars. However, I didnt really want to with my SS/TC in fear that it would sound too ricey. After buying and driving it Im happy enough with the sound of the stock exhaust that I really am in no rush to go aftermarket.(personally Im waiting to see if SLP comes out with anything) Typically wheel hop isnt too bad, although Ive had a couple bad cases of it.
