After class today I ran into a friend from last year. He told me that his friend sold his cobalt and is selling a lot of parts. He told me he has a c/f hood with a 2 inch crack in it. Apparently it's never been installed. He told me his friend would probably part with it for 200. I'm not a big c/f guy, but i was thinking of getting my stock hood repainted anyway b/c of the stone chips.

Anyway, anything I can do about the crack? I don't know much about carbon fiber.

Also, how much weight does the average c/f hood save?

The crack is probably fixable...if you know what you're doing. But the patchwork might be visible. Where is the crack?

not to thread jack but i just got a deal on a cf hood to and was wondering whats the weight difference from the stock. it seems light but i havent taken the stock hood off yet
