How did he have the chance to hang himself on an airplane days later though?? I figured he would have been taken into custody for arson, or at least sent to a mental facility considering his sanity level was obviously not in check.

I don't think one bad apple will bring bad publicity to the Postal Service. My father works there and quite honestly I never hear much about "going Postal" jokes or references.

On a further note... sad story. It makes you wonder what was going on in this guy's life to drive him to all of this.

 

I guess Ford still has a reputation for catching fire easily
