Unhappy Hole being scraped into intake (help!!)

So I was just outside about to start changing my oil when I noticed that there's a piece of metal that's slicing into my cai. I've heard it happening from one of the screws next to it, but not from here. It never used to rub and I guess it's been doing it long enough to cause some damage. It's not all the way through the intake, but I'm sure it's getting there. Does anyone have a solution to stop it from rubbing? I don't really feel like having to spend another $230 (or whatever) on a intake. I'll throw in a pic, but it isn't great...
Help?

UPDATE:
9.21.2008

So..... I think there's a full on slice into the intake because I did a test run with it the other day and I'm only boosting 13psi instead of the +/-17psi I'm usually at. Last time I had this big of a loss in pressure was the first time I put on the cai and I didn't tighten it up enough. I triple checked everything and everything's tight so it's gotta be a hole.
Help? Does anyone know if Injen will replace it?

Wrap that section of the tube with layers of electrical tape.

Yeah, my injen does that too. I would suggest a lil cut out of some rubber tube to help out. Thats what I did.

it happens to nearly all the SC'd balts, but i went around it by buying the steel 3" Rebel intake, but you could add some rubber tubing int there around the lip of metal to keep metal on metal contact down.

I used the rubber molding to protect the sides of the doors, cut it size, and put that around the intake.

^^Got any pics of it? I'd rather not wrap it in electrical tape 'cause it'd look pretty ghetto.

That's happening to my K&N as well. In my car it's the PCM that's cutting into my intake. Don't think I can do much about it. I got some rubber edging stuff from a hardware store and put it on one of the heatsink blades of the PCM.

i took a piece of quarter inch hose, cut it in half, and wrapped it around the edges that are scraping into the intake!

^^Those will all work. Gotta find some tubing and it'll be good. What did you use to secure it to the car? Just gorilla glue or something?

I found tubbing that fit actually quite perfect. I think it was the GM air condition rubber hosing.

I used a piece of black garden hose and fixed it to the piece of metal that was rubbing on the intake.

All you have to do is loosen the clamp that connects the rubber coupler with the intake. Then push the intake away from the metal so it's not touching and hold it there while you retighten the clamp. It should stay there.
